TTD is true to form with there themeing, and it's tops in my book kinda ka just doesn't make any sence to me
What are you talking about? The dragster theme was just an excuse to make the ride short. "Oh, it's a drag race so it's only supposed to last a couple seconds.." Who are you racing? I would say an important aspect of drag racing would be racing someone else. I guess its a time trial.

Seriously though, Dragster's only meant to do one thing - send ya really f-in fast, really f-in high and make sure that that's all you remember about your ride. And it works to a T.
Sure it's a one trick pony, and I know I'd rather ride Wicked Twister all day than TTD, but it's still a great experience - not really much of a "ride" at all.

I agree that it is a one-trick-pony. Well, two-trick, launch and up really high to a top-hat. After the first time, at least for me, the launch seems weaker and weaker each time I ride.
It's definately not a ride I would wait more than 15 minutes for anymore

I rather have no bunny hop than having over shoulder restraints. TTD might be the last of the great giant coasters to have lapbars.
Are you quoting me because you agree or disagree?

I think one of the highlights of roller coasters is the anticipation. In traditional roller coasters with lift hills the anticipation is the ride up to the top, just waiting to drop over the hill. The anticipation of TTD is being in the launch position and waiting for the yellow...yellow...yellow...greenLAUNCH! I guess it just depends on what people like more.

You know, I like to compare Dragster to Dip'n'Dots. The more expensive it gets, the worse it tastes.
Dragster's a fun ride, but the expense just isn't worth it anymore.
Yeah, I just hate having to pay everytime I ride Dragster.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.
Two things.
1.TTD will rank better because of the lack of overheads.
2. What will the Ka's launch countdown be like---paws down....paws down....and .....321 go!
But seriously.....if you've been on TTD a few dozen times, then you've had to have had that one ride that was faster than all the others and just threw you out of your seat on the top hat and then threw you to the side on the spiral.....no overhead restraint can mimic that ride experience....I'm sure there are those of you who can relate.....
Top 3 Steel in no order depending on wheather conditions....Magnum-trim on/off ,Millenium-hot vs.cold, and TTD- wind out of east/west

I always get rocked on the spiral going down but I don't get any air on the top hat. My favorite rides are when we barely make it over the top and I'm thinking "Is this my rollback"? Sadly it hasn't happened yet. :(

My first ride on TTD back in May of 2003 around Memorial Day I got some pretty good air on top of the tower. Interesting experience and the ride would be more fun if it still did that. It had the theming then too. I really miss that. The ride really down graded after its first month of operation. Still a good ride though.

Having only two rides on Dragster (I know thats sad) I would have to say I really did love it. It's hard to call it tame or boring in any sense. However, I can see the point many of you are making. If I had say 20+ rides on it, I can almost be certain it would no longer appeal to me as it did in those 2 rides. When I think of MF, after an uncoutable amount of rides, it still appeals to me. I would have to agree that it does almost seem a waste of 120mph. If they have added just one more element to the ride we would not be having this discussion. KK is going to rock, no doubt about it. Not because it's a little taller, but because of the added element. I would have to say KK has the better design. But in the next few years, someone will change the layout just a little again, making me buy yet another plane ticket for another far distant park ;).

Thank you Winston, someone finally feels the same way I do! I can ride MF 100 times and I will always love it because it has several different elements in it that are fun like all of the hills and curves. And don't worry Winston, I've only been on it once. No doubt about it, I loved it and I intend to go on it many more times but I think I will limit myself to one ride per visit so I will always enjoy it and so it will always be exciting. Getting launched at 120MPH will never be in any way boring but an added twist would make the ride better. Look at Xcellerator at Knotts, it is a scaled down version of TTD but also has a longer roller coaster ride along with it, I've never been on it but I'm sure its fun.

I don't know why, but I guess I'm just a "the glass is half empty" fan of Ka. Just so I stick to the subject of this thread: that gimungo bunny hill may even be a disadvantage to this ride. I just can't imagine going over a hill like that and slowing down at the same time....You're probably thinking no way....but I think this ride will likely have to start slowing down even earlier than Dragster becuase of the extra hill and the added 8-10 mph. Just a thought.
