I believe the attraction will be removed soon. My evidence is that the park appears to spend nothing on maintenance. Many of the dinosaurs are faded and just look bad. Several of the ones that once moved no longer move. Many of the ones that once made noise; no longer make noise.
If this attraction was planned for many more years; I'd imagine they upkeep would be a little better.

That could be quite a long wait. My evidence: the park hasn't spent a dime maintaining the Cedars in over a decade, and yet there it is.
What about the new coat of paint along perimeter road side of the building during the 2015 season, is that not maintenance? From the outside there would appear to be no maintenance done, but I can assure you that stuff has been done inside in the recent years.

I would imagine they had paint laying around that was paid for years ago, and the workers painting it would likely be salary and would've been paid if they were doing nothing. so no they didn't spend a dime from a non-employee point of view.
And obviously you haven't grasped the idea of a figure of speech, since you can argue that changing lightbulbs is maintenance.

So the fact that the park purchased the paint (expense) and paid staff (or contracted it out) to paint (expense) doesn't meet your test of spending a dime? Those painters, if in fact Cedar Point employees, would be paid an hourly wage and generally do not qualify for salary exempt status under the FLSA.

Whether they paid for it or not is beside the point, work was still done. I'm fully aware of what a figure of speech is, but it's ridiculous to say that figuratively nothing has been done, when only the outside of the building is visible to anyone who doesn't work there.

Haha no more upcharge attractions, thanks
Dinos Alive never impressed me when I went through. we went once with our passes and it was ok, but not worth going in over and over. I hope CP decides to remove it once their unknown length contract is up with the company. I'd love go karts as long as they're free. I'd really like a boat ride to be brought back someday.
Wasn't it? I still loved it, though. We were young, god knows where we might be living at college, and we didn't care. We were in one of the larger rooms, but it was just a double, and we faced the midway. I loved waking up to Bayern Kurves' horn, the train whistle, and looking out to see Miss Schwabinchen peeking over her backdrop at me. My first year I worked 2-close at the Surrey, so I could get to work in 3 minutes.
They had just built a new rr/shower facility in the center of the building and we thought it was the bee's knees. Very modern. It was a long walk with my bucket and towel every morning, but that was ok too.
When the Cedars finally goes a little bit of me is going to be very sad.
I've lived in Cedars the past two summers, and plan on living there again this summer. Sure, it may not be the nicest of places to live, but you can't beat the convenience. No need to take the bus to work every day, no worry about parking bans, a few minutes walk to the park, meaning more sleep every night, it's a lot quieter at night than commons etc. If I didn't bring an air conditioner with me though, it would be a whole different story.
