Whether or not they remove other rides like Antique Cars or Wave Swinger remains to be seen. But, they certainly don't have to. With the WWL site alone, there is a *huge* area to work with.
They are still trying to sell Demon Drop. Like MrScott said, it's a headache to maintain and ridership is down. My last ride was on Sunday and it was essentially a walk-on.
No one knows if it will sell or not. They may have a buyer who is really close to getting it, they might have to make the offer more attractive, or they might just decide to keep it for another summer. If I had to make a guess, I'd say the odds of its return in 2006 are less than 50-50. Either way, long term, it's going away.
I rode Demon Drop twice on Saturday and I will miss that ride once it is gone. It's one of those "man that was fun" ride's. WWL had its time, DD is DD. What would CP look like without it? I still can't get it in my head. Must be a CP ethusiast thing.

I have heard it was sold to a park in Italy, and I have heard that it was not sold....so who knows.
Cool thing is that I have the press kit for the ride.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I was informed by Tony/Tyler Sunday night on WWL that the ride was still for sale and had not been sold yet.
Its almost kinda sad thought, every single person from Kenzel to Hildebrandt was at WWL, plus all of the media and talk is on that ride while Demon Drop just seems to slowly pass away and nobody cares. *** Edited 11/1/2005 9:30:50 PM UTC by ejh1701***

Don't worry, I have a Demon Drop tribute lined up for when it sells. Lots of cool stuff. Of course, if it stays, we'll put it up anyway and just call it a celebration. :)
I find it interesting that the price on the Ital Int. site for Demon Drop (http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=565) no longer says $250,000 but rather "call." *** Edited 11/2/2005 4:04:53 AM UTC by DBCP***

How about this. If they are having trouble selling the thing just auction off peices of the ride to enthusiasts. Im sure some one would pay a nice sum of money to have one of the cars sitting in their family room. Have small crew dismantling it and spread the peices out on the parking lot. Give the peices numbers and just auction the thing off. This would eliminate the cost of transporting the peices of the ride. They would probably make even more money off the ride that way then selling the ride to some other park. Even donate the money you recieve to a noteable charity so it can be a tax write off. This is what I would do if I was Cedar Fair. I used this example in my business management class and the professor gave me the only A in the class because it was so creative.
