1) I will be going on a senior trip next summer for 1.5 weeks in mid-June. If I were to be working at CP would it be plausable for me to take that time off, or is that frowned upon? Other than that I plan to work as long as possible (end of May to end of August after that I will be off to college at UK).
2) I really would like to be a ride-op however, I don't really want to work on one of the smaller rides (no offense to anyone who does), I want something relatively big. How likely is it for a person to come in first year and get placed on a coaster (outside of Camp Snoopy) or the Power Towers?
Thanks to everyone who replies and good job this summer.
1) At that point, all the rides are pretty much at full staffing. As far as I know, as long as you ask for it when you apply, you shouldn't have any problems getting that time off. My ATL took 10 days off in August without any problems, you just have to make sure that you let them know when you apply.
2) They kind of ask you what type of ride you want to work on when they interview you. If I remember correctly, they asked me if I wanted to work on the children's rides or adult rides. I said adult rides and I was contracted to Snake River Falls. The day I got there they moved me to Mine Ride and then about a month later I transferred to Mean Streak. I know other first year people that were on Magnum and Gemiini. Basically you could end up anywhere, regardless of how many years you've worked there.
