Days Off

I know you get one day off a week but I was wondering if you can request a couple of extra days for a family reunion or something like that after you have already signed your contract? Also is CP very accomadating if you have a death in the family?

yes, just ask. days off more then one talk to your silver tag. knauf and fike are very cool guys. just talk. best time is now, then remind them when you get there!with the death in the family, you might have to show papers. they can be a bit strict.

My first summer my grandmother passed away. I got the call while I was supervising my stand. My supervisor let me off then and I immediately set up a bus ride home. It took me about 13 hours to get home, then I had the funeral. I think you get 2 days travel time and 1 day for the funeral, but this may depend on where you permanent home address is. I can imagine with the proper papers, they would be a little lenient, but don't take too much advantage of it.
