Nice post man. I'm new this year and don't know the area. I was hoping there was more to do than ride rides on days off. I'm sure that will get oldish right around July. Idk, maybe I'm wrong. I know there's a million awesome movies coming out this Summer and I plan to see all of them, so if anyone needs a movie buddy I'm you guy.
Giant Wheel '11
If I'm not sleeping through the day, I'd love to see a few of this summer's blockbusters.
2011 - Trash Crew
The best value is at the Sundance Kid Drive-In movie theater on Navarre Avenue (Route 2) in Oregon, Ohio. It's approximately 45 min to an hour WEST of the park on Route 2.
You get to see 2 new releases for less than the price of 1.
Also check out Woodland Mall in Bowling Green where its $5 for new releases on Tuesday nights or Woodville Mall in Northwood where its $5 for new releases before 5pm & only $6 after.
Nice post Ryan! Marblehead is definitely a place to visit. If you like the outdoors, there are the Erie County Metroparks you can visit. I just went hiking in the Castalia Quarry today.
the small (woodland mall in bg) is great between the cheap nights thursdays everything is cheaper than any other theatre. I just saw Thor in 3d there last night and paid $7.50 can't complain when at levis in perrysburg tickets are like 15 a piece or something outrageous like that.

S.T.A. - died with the Fright Zone
did they move the discounted night to Thursdays at Woodland Mall in Bowling Green? 2 Summers ago it used to be on Tuesday nights. I recall there being LINES of people to get in to see the movies because in it is such a great deal...and especially if its a highly anticipated movie. I went several times to the last showing at like 1130 or midnight and saw a lot of films that Summer. It's fantastic!!
I just saw "Water for Elephants" at Levis Commons in Perrysburg a few weeks ago and it was only $9.50. Still too expensive, but definitely not $15, unless you see it in the Directors Hall which is more of an 'exclusive' seating arrangement with better quality/higher definition screen.
If you attend any of the live Broadway screenings ("Memphis", "Les Miserables", etc.) or Met Opera series,...those films range between $15 and $20 because they are considered special events. A filmed version of Sondheim's "Company" starring Neil Patrick Harris, Jon Stewart, Jon Cryer, Christina Hendricks, Patti LuPone, etc. and the New York Philharmonic.will be shown at Fallen Timbers Cinema in June. Ticket prices have not been announced yet.
Here is the updated information on Sondheim's "COMPANY":
http://www.screenvision.com/s/showing/Company/
The closest showing (from Sandusky) will be at Levis Commons in Perrysburg. (1 hour west off the Turnpike..exit 4A).
It stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jon Cryer, Stephen Colbert, Christina Hendricks, Patti LuPone, Martha Plimpton, Craig Bierko, etc.
