Dark ride?

I don't understand why Cedar Point bought major five rides from that company.

Because Dick shopped on price with no regard to input from other departments, like the people who had to keep the rides up.

The entire first season for Millennium Force was one of trial and error with wheel composition, controls have been modified a ton of times (overlapping blocks and getting three trains to move together was a challenge, I recall), the durability of the lift cable hasn't been great... probably other things that people can fill in. It didn't open certified for three-train operation, and downtime was pretty standard on any given day.

Jeff- Do other Intamin Mega- or Giga- coasters have lift cable issues? I know the cable has been an issue on their hydraulic launched Accelerator coasters...

I seem to recall Expedition GeForce had issues, but there aren't very many elevator lift installations.

That answers my questions about why Intiman has not built any more coasters at the Point.

I remember MF being shut down a lot in the summer of 2000. TTD was bad as well.

Certainly Dragster was the worst in terms of down time, but it's not an isolated event. Wicked Twister and Maverick both had to be modified, with former requiring additional supports and the latter requiring new sections of track to remove the roll over the pond.
