Daddy Raptor...

As for Mean Streak, I would just like to say that I think its layout is really exciting. As everyone knows, the only problem is that the track is so inconsistent and rough that they have kept having to slow it down over the years.

I have always wanted to see them retrofit it with tubular rails (like Geminii). Now that would make Mean Streak really sweet!!

Jeff said, "Someone got it all right. Nice." C-Bob says, "Someone is ME."

I wish they could just do an out-and-back like Shivering Timbers or something. Something with tons and tons of air-time. Doesn't have to be tallest or fastest, but nice and long, and all about air-time. That would *rule*. Just to be different from something like Blue Streak, maybe make it a dueling (not racing) coaster... that'd help with capacity too. Height about halfway inbetween Mean Streak and Blue Streak. Paint it white with aluminum cars, and call it Silver Streak. Give it a nice wicked helix at the end, something intense like on the Beast... two trains of a dualing coster counter-rotating in interlocked helixes would rock.

Silver Streak is the name of the inverted kiddie coaster at Canada's Wonderland.
What's with all the complaining about Meanstreak? It's one of the best woodies I've been on. I'll say it's pretty rough towards the back of the train, but I always just make sure to sit in the first car or 2 and it's fine. Meanstreak isn't rough, if you want rough try Jerkules at Dorney.
"Jerkules" at Dorney was so shaky when I rode it my lapbar popped up so all that was holding me in was the seatbelt. I was so scared when that happened that I grabbed the lapbar and slammed wihout even thinking about it and I held onto it for the rest of my ride.
ok, NO NO NO NO NO. Mean streak does not need any changes except the removal of the trim brakes. Cp does not really need a floorless or a flying even though I sooo wanna see them at cp. No, what CP needs are just new and origional coasters like the one that I am gonna design for B&M and give CP first dibs. Roller coasters are "metal Gods" and there is always some way to improve or make something completely origional. I hope to design these "metal Gods" for a living and hopefully for B&M. But mark my word in 2008 there will be a coaster opening somewhere in the united states(most likely at CP or some CF park) that was designed by me and that is my dream.

P.S. Whoever it was that said mantis should be tore down needs to be............ well something bad needs to happen to them. Sorry but Mantis is one excellent ride and does not need to go.

I think the Mean Streak is rather flat and boring. You'd get less beat up in a bar fight. It would be a lot more fun with tubular track or if it actually had hills.

Another looper would be really great. CP doesn't have many at all and they really are fun rides. We don't always have to have the most extreme elements for a ride to be fun. Look how fun the Magnum is with all of those little hills at the end.

Cedar Point is closed for the season. Reason? Freezin!

Men Streak is great! I have to agree, it is a bit rouph but sit in the front and it's fine. I think the design it wonderful! I love all the head choppers!
In regards to being proven reliable, I also meant capacity-wise...I forgot to mention that. Apparently X's design also has some problems with the second set of rails and not just the trains.

Believe me, I would love to see a 4-D at CP but I just don't think they will get one yet. The difference between the 4-D prototype that Arrow built and the Intamin's hydraulic launch is that Arrow only built a small portion of track that traveled fairly slow and didn't account for the types of stresses it would have to endure, while Intamin built a full-sized launch track.

When Arrow came up with the design, they were thinking of installing rides under 100 feet to get the design out there, but Six Flags approached them after witnessing the technology and said they wanted a huge one. Thus the X fiasco began..iIt made Arrow and SF look bad, put Arrow into bankruptcy, and SF sued Arrow.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Mean Streak is a fun ride which create stunning visuals both on and off of the ride. I kind of like how the trims create a longer front row-first hill view...Awesome stuff-

As for the Raptor enhancement-

I do not think this would be a good idea. The g-forces of the ride would practically feel the same. Kind of like how measurements of angles stay the same as a triangle magnified. Raptor is a great ride, indeed, and I think it is just fine how it is.

A 500 foot Magnum? Now we're talkin'! ;)

(Inspired)

Mean Streak gave me one fun ride (out of a dozen), but mostly it's just shaky and lacking in air-time. I can't get excited about it, and ride it more out of a desire to ride all the rollercoasters more than any desire to ride IT specifically. I never ride it more than once per visit as it just isn't worth it. I'd love it if they could reprofile it to give it a little air, remove the trims, and give it some excitement without the intense shaking. But I wouldn't miss it at all if it were demolished... and if it were replaced by a *good* woodie, I'd be thrilled.

Leave Raptor alone. It's great.

The Mine Ride could use new trains (I have long legs and those cars are tiny and painful) and maybe a re-profile (remove a couple of jerks, like right before it dives across the water).

I still want Mantis to just be re-done as a floorless. Stand-ups have crappy capacity and are too painful for too many people. A good floorless would put your heart-line in the same place, but remove all the pain, and make that coaster RULE. Right now, it's the only coaster at the point that I won't ride willingly.

Raptor rocks hard! A bigger one, sure! ... But CP already rulz the sky.

-I want a slightly bigger shivering timbers. A G.C.I. revamped MEANSTREAK with Millennium Flyer trains. We need A B&M or Intamin produced (or Arrow) 4D. I want a B&M flyer. And last but not least. CP needs to get with me so we all can experience my very own 500+ creation!

You know how MM tried to lonely hold the tittle of 'most coasters anywhere' by debuting 3 coasters in a less than a year? Well, ( clearly dreaming) what if ... what if CP opened exactly what I listed above ---- FIVE COASTERS (only 4 more notches in good o'll Mr. Keller's head board though) in just 2 years?!?

Ohh how the turnstiles would turn!!$!!
