Has anyone worked or know someone who has worked as Customer Service Host? If so, what is it like?

Think front gate complaints department. Not everyone is there to complain, you also get to sign people in with season passes from other parks and things, but if you are working an afternoon or evening shift, think of yourself as the complaints department. If I remember right you also get to take turns in the lost children booth in Kiddy Kingdom.

Good or bad idea.

This is my backup choice. *** Edited 2/8/2007 1:30:19 AM UTC by Gomez***

They also do the surveys in the park.

A better idea would be the Park Op office instead of Guest Services. You get to handle almost the same stuff plus deal with the rides side of things.

I applied for that position as a first choice, I love dealing with people......

Welcome to Mantis the only stand-up roller coaster in the state of Ohioer, this is not a sit-down roller coaster, if you want to sit down then their is the I-ron Dragon over to the left and across the midway is Milliunem Force.

The job is great. The good thing is, there are incredibly difficult, stressful times, but they balance with the simple and easy and generally fun atmosphere of the job.

The skills you will (no question about it...do your job, you WILL gain skills!) aquire will help you in ANY job you go to from Cedar Point.

Many people from recent crews have moved on to awesome "real" jobs.

I worked the job summer of 2005 and I loved it at times and hated it at times. If you think you will like having people take survey's in the park then you will like the job because all of the other parts of the job are fun and/or easy. You are stuck in one place all summer like most people because you'll be walking bands, doing surveys, working in lost persons, sometimes working a gate in the morning, and the funnest part of the job is working in the Guest Services office, the absolute best job. You just never know what will happen, some crazy things have happened to me and my co-workers. If you don't mind having people take surveys then you'll love the job.
