Crowd levels chart?

Hi everyone :)

My fiance and I are talking abour coming to CP for our honeymoon. I've been there more times than I can count, but he's never been... he has finally seen the light and wants to go! (yay!)

Anyway, In the past, I had always found a site that had a crowd levels calendar, and for some reason I can't find it. Can someone please send me a link, if you know which site I'm talking about?

Thanks :)

Thanks :) but I already found that one...

What I'm talking about was an actualy calendar with day-by-day expected attendance levels. I just can't find it...I've used it for the past 3 years and It has been the biggest help. 15 min lines at max...It's been good to me. But, now I can't find it...

It isn't complicated enough to require a chart. The operating schedule will tell you loads about what to expect. Read through this and you'll have all the information you need to make a smart decision.

Tumblingclown, I think this is what you are thinking of:

Not sure how accurate it is.

Congratulations, tumblingclown, and let me say: if you're taking the groom to Cedar Point for the honeymoon, he is a very, very lucky man.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

How in the hell do they have a statistic for Maverick on that web site. Now that is just insane.

Notice that it is at 0.

But you have to admit, it is slightly deceiving at first glance...

True. That green bar did throw me off at first.

That's interesting! I wonder how they figure ALLLLLL that stuff out.

I'm sure Maverick will be up (if not above) there with Dragster and Millennium as soon as the season starts.

I'm still hoping if I get to Maverick right first thing in the morning there will be a short line. Am I being naive in thinking that not many people will think the same? Maybe. Am I crossing my fingers anyway? Forsure. And while on that note, I hope Mean Streak will open at 10am as it once did, instead of waiting an extra hour and opening at 11.

Are you referring to opening day Vince? Chances are that getting to the park early opening day wont help all that much. I'm hoping to be there by 6, even though I know that's not early enough.

Thanks TopThrill...not the site I was looking for, but still pretty good :)

And thanks Ensign Smith :) He at first suggested going to Branson and then to Silver Dollar City....I looked at him like he was nuts and asked him if he'd rather ride 2 roller coaster or 15.... Plus, I heard the hotels right on the lake are really nice...Anybody know?

Not necessarily, just in general throughout the season. Opening day I have no plans to ride Maverick. I am hoping for shorter lines on the other rides so I can ride them. Perhaps on the Sunday I will wait it out and experience CP's newest attraction.

If you are going to stay more than a day, stay at Lighthouse Point!

MrScott

Mayor, Lighthouse Point

I am hoping that a quick run from the soak city entrance will get me a spot on Maverick opening day in less than an hour and a half.

I didnt make it for the 2000 or 2003 opening day, did anyone here make it? If so what was it like crowd wise, more than the usual opening day? Did people show up uber early?

Also if you look at the chart it shows that the gray slanty line area is the "wait window" which would put the wait for Maverick at 0 - 15 minutes. I hope that is acurate infomation if so boo yah I am there.

edit to include "boo yah"

I was there for opening day MF, and TTD (and others).

Yes, people get there early, but the vast majority don't show up until near opening or after. It took about 30 minutes for me to ride Dragster and I was only a couple dozen people back at the magnum gate. I think the line was well past 6 hours later in the day. I rode a second time and waited about 5 hours.

MF was the same story - huge lines all day, but you can get one ride in with a reasonable wait.

WT had minimal lines all day when it opened... just like most days since.

Maverick will probably have huge lines all day but, again, you can probably get an early ride with a decent wait time.

Hope that helps.
