I think Cp's Slogan(rideon) is sumwhat stupid (no offence) it sounds like someone saying Righton. I think there is some better ones out there. Do you have any suggestions?
Here's mine

I kinda like the "Ride On". It's sort of like saying "Game On" only with roller coasters and stuff. My suggestion though would be "Cedar Point, Where the big kids love to play." Not all that great, but I never feel as much like a 30 year old big kid as I do at Cedar Point :)
Thirteen years in rides at PKD, then KD in Doswell, VA on multiple rides and everything from Ride Host to Area Supervisor. Now, I am the Department Supervisor of Park Services and proud of it with the best guys in the industry... and the occasional Rides shift to help out.
The good thing about "Ride On" is that it is very easy to work it into speils. It has a great call to action to it, and people tend to associate it with Cedar Point a lot easier.

I somewhat understand how someone might take offense to what you're saying about the "Ride On" slogan being similar to "Right On," but none is taken here. ;)
With that being said, we somewhat saw the introduction of a new slogan this year with "The Old West was never this wild!" While I like the "Ride On" slogan, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something new for 2008.

Personally, I like "Ride On". Although it may be a bit lame, the point gets across. I really do want to "ride on" at Cedar Point. But hey, that's just me.
I love "Ride On". Speaking of slogans and such, does anyone wish they would bring back the "Come on, Get on Cedar Point!" commercial?
I wish they would say the full "Log off, Ride on."
Maybe because I felt likee it was advertising directly to me. ;)
Anyways, Ride On is definetly superior to "Where Else?" at Kings Island. I think it suits Cedar Point well.
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
I'm sure you all rememeber in 2001 when it was "Hold on!" That was a little silly, however, on I-90 in Cleveland, they had a billboard with Millenium, force that said "Hold on!" right as you went through "dead man's curve" that was great!

Congrats on having the single most ironic post of the year. And just before it ended too!

A lot of my friends I talk to about the park still refer to "America's (Rockin') Roller Coast". I don't know, but that phrase seems to stick. But now that I think of it, that was a popular CP slogan again this season! followed by 'ride on' of coarse.

^ that's all you here getting off rides. I just wish they would drop the "rockin" off of it. It sounds better like "America's Roller Coast".

There has been so many Cp Slogans I'm not saying I hate Ride On. I am just saying there have been some better ones through out the years. Like America's Roller Coast It just sticks and is used much more then Ride On by the Ride Operators.

I hated "Come on, get on", but I like Ride On. I really liked hearing the ops say "Enjoy your day at America's Roller Coast". Have they ever used just, "Get to the Point"?

If the ride ops said "Get to the point" it would kinda be useless because the people are already at the Point. :)
Let's Get Weird.
Clarification: not at the park I mean, just as an ad slogan. :)

I agree with you, RIDE ON sounds like RIGHT ON. I'm just waiting for them to put the word BROTHER at the end now.
I think they settled on a somewhat stupid slogan because they hired that agency back that they had before and everyone was afraid to tell them it was a lame duck phrase.
I think it would be great to go back to the slogan they had when I was a kid. The park used to be dubbed "The Amazement Park". I still have memorabillia from those few years with the logo on it.
"Get to the Po!nt" was used during the late 80's and early 90's. I still think this one is the best. I also think the commercial from that era was best...the one with the kid shaking the snow globe with the Magnum in it and the line stating "Get to the Point before winter does" I seem to recall that's when the park had their best numbers as far as attendance also. Hmmm...any correlation between these?
I also hate how companies keep changing their slogans every year. How are people supposed to remember your product if you keep changing the image with your slogan? CP should just stick with Get to the Po!nt and "America's Roller Coast" and be done with it.
