While in line for mantis the other day I noticed about 3 different people say that boneville is going to get the same type of makeover that timber mountain log ride got and another person said that the new dark ride is going in the snoopy boutique....I know that fans say crazy things but a remodel of boneville could happen.

When I hear someone say something about changes at Cedar Point, while waiting in line, I ask them where they heard it. If they say the lemon-chill guy, I offer to sell them a front of the line pass for Wildcat or Demon Drop.
I don't know if the Boneville rumor makes any sense, but putting a dark ride in a building built for a dark ride (Snoopy Boutique) makes a lot more sense than the Coliseum arcade rumors.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
The boneyard rumors started in a different forum a few months ago and was debunked almost immediately -- but it has now been spread and perpetuated all over the place -- but this particular instance of someone hearing something in a queu line and then passing that on as rumor is just unfounded at all -- best to let it lie...
I do not believe that a modern dark ride can fit into the snoopy boutique -- it is very small -- its been subdivided and changed in layout from when Earthquake used to be in there...
It would probably make more sense to put it into the old Pirate Ride space, and build that building out as necessary into that blue streak courtyard....
I don't think Boneville needs any kind of makeover except they can work on some background screening, in my mind evergreen vegetation, something dense and can be clipped clear of coasters.

It would be nice if the fire at the end was actually working. My last visit it wasn't, but that might of just been that one day.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Boneville doesn't seem so bad to me. Just wish everything worked a bit more often. Sometimes it seems like things have issues there.
RonAnnArbor, those things can be taken out too ya know? The layout can also be changed, possible expanded. It'd be a perfect place for a dark ride to go.
With all the deforestation in that part of the park planting a few trees and adding/updating some of the scenes with animatronics that aren't from the early 60's would go a long way.
The side that runs along perimeter road lacks any theming at all. Disneyland has a wall between the train and the outside world. It would add a lot to the first half if they simply added a barrier of some sort (other than the existing fence) and a new scene or two to that part alone.
Why would you want to block the view of Sandusky Bay from the train by building a wall? That is one of the nicest parts of the train ride.

Personally, I would like to see some trees planted along the right of way that would eventually hide the "steel forest" that has intruded over the years
I agree with Pete and JTaylor, keep the water view of Sandusky Bay open. I don't think there is another amusement park that is surrounded by water. That makes Cedar Point unique.
The only part of the railroad that really needs attention is the stretch by Mantis. I'm not really sure what you could do there. Trees would not work because I think they would grow into the track. About the only thing you could do is put up a fence and let it get overgrown with brush.
The run by the bay is the best part of the route.

Why not redo the structure for Snake River Falls into a mountain. When the train goes under SRF it could go through a tunnel. The railroad has never had a tunnel. Better than looking at a lot of rusting metal support poles & beams.
