CP Twitter

How is CP going to use their twitter page? Wouldnt it be nice to know when rides are down or how long waits are. Do you think this would be possible. Personally I think they should have a twitter meal deal where they say 'from 3-4 get your french fies half price with this twitter message at happy friar' but i'm cheap that way and always looking for a good deal

I feel like CP should just stay away from twitter until they get some people with a clue about this new media stuff.

I agree with lladnar, although it would be nice to be able to have park updates sent right to my phone I don't think it's really that necessary. I just go to the park to have fun and I don't really care if I can get wait times sent to it. Just walk around scope out the lines and have fun. I could see it happening in the next few years, but definattly not now. That's just my two cents.

Get a clue? Please, most people don't even know what Twitter is. The people who make these decisions at CP are well ahead of that curve.

Furthermore, CP doesn't even have a Twitter page, so why get all excited anyway?

Actually they've had one for quite some time now.

CP Twitter page

Although after looking at some of the tweets, I'm not so sure it's "official". I'd be willing to bet that all the CF employees who would be managing that sort of thing know that it's Halloweekends, not "Hollow weekends".

Forget Twitter....

How about a Cedar Point Resort room key that acts as a park ticket and a charge card? Cruise Lines and Disney/Universal have had this for years!

It would be nice to be able to visit the park without worring about cash, early entrance pass, and a discount discount card, all made out of paper....which is easily ruined on a water ride!

Wow, I first looked at the thread and asked myself if CP has a twitter, then I clicked on the link and realised that I was following them. LOL.

ask me for my facebook.

You weren't following because that's not official.

I wouldn't mind if CP had an official Twitter. Paula at Holiday World does a great job maintaining @HolidayWorld. What I like about it is the fact that it's down to earth. It's purpose is obviously to promote and market the park, however it does so in an entertaining way, along with random tweets that are just for fun. For instance:

Bette Midler's "Mambo Italiano" beats coffee all to pieces as a picker-upper for the drive in to the office. Go-go-Joe!

I think CP could definitely follow this model, and I think Tony at least has a small portion of humor in him that could make it entertaining. ;)

Ah, really? It seems like it's the official twitter page.

Did you not see my post about the misspelling of Halloweekends on that Twitter account?

That should have been enough to tell you that it wasn't official.

Twitter is about the most pointless thing on the internet. Unless you're a stalker. Then it's awesome.

^Actually, you'd be the most pointless thing on the internet.

Stalking is a Facebook thing. Twitter is really no different from having a blog with really short posts.
