I was wondering if there was a signature dessert at Cedar Point? Something unique. For example we always get the blue ice cream cones at Kings Island, when we went to Kings Dominion (its been awhile) but there was a Berserker (a waffle with ice cream, chocolate, whipped cream and nuts on top)
I tried looking on my last trip but ended up with a regular chocolate cone...
There's frozen custard, and while not totally authentic (comes out of a soft serve machine) its actually pretty tasty and comes close. Real frozen custard is totally a northern Ohio thing, so that may be the closest to a signature or local-ish dessert at Cedar Point. I always get a dish, I think it's better than Toft's.
She asked for dese......oh wait, nevermind. Make that 2 cheese on a stick!
-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
Nope, nothing really signature... As far as in-park options go, probably the options at Donut Time near the front of the park.
The best option overall though is probably the bread pudding at Famous Daves.... Mmmmm.

donut time, huge muffins and cinnamon rolls. and the coffee I generally go half strong and half weak to get the blend I like.

Donut Time frosted donuts with sprinkles by far the best I have had, especially if you get one hot off the presses. That and a cup of coffee is how we chill out prior to heading home. I miss the computers they used to have in there though (yes I still have a flip phone, I prefer it believe it or not).

A few years ago, one could have made the argument that the 25 cent Cotton Candy was Cedar Point's Signature Dessert. :)

Frozen custard for us too, and even nicer to discover that some stands are lower priced than others.
Chris
Do tell Chris - I'm not sure I even know where the stands are, but which are cheaper?
Cedar Point guest since 1974
There's only two I'm aware of. One at the end of the Frontier Trail across from Wave Swinger, and the other on the main midway under Sky Ride and next to the fountain. I think they may also have it in the funnel cake shop at the other end of the trail, near Red Garter, but I'm not certain on that one.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Wish I knew the names of the places. One year it was cheaper at the funnel cake stand next to the racing derby downs. Last year it was cheaper at a stand near the front entrance near the photo pick up place. I've been concerned that food services will figure it out and match all the prices, so this could do it.
We get custard every day we're there. And "people watch" while we're eating.
Chris
There are only two frozen custard stands that I know of. They are the two that Ralph mentioned. In the Engine House across from the Wave Swinger & Antique Cars and the other under the Sky Ride on the main midway next to the fountain. You can get it in a cone or a cup.

Totally a northern Ohio thing? Have you ever been out of northern Ohio?

I really think Cedar Point should jump on board with having something like the "Banshee Twist" flavored ice cream at KI: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/1175361_6842...4440_n.jpg
-but based off of one (or some) of CP's most popular rides (similar to Millennium Force's snow cones).
The funnel cake stand next to Cedar Downs sells soft serve ice cream, not the custard. That is why the price is different, CP foods does have it figured out.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
