Mr.World said:99er there are 3 compactors,

Did they add one in the last year or are you including the yard waste compactor? That one along with the paper compactor do not go to a landfill.

99er no there have been 3 trash compactors for the 25 years I know of.
Present locations are One at blue streak right next to perimeter rd.
Two at P&D. Mr. World

Out of the two at P&D only one is for garbage, the other for yard waste only. So technically the park does recycle its yard waste and paper. It's better than nothing.

99er I don't want to argue with you but both compactors at P&D are for garbage.

Who's arguing? I am just stating the way its been for the past ten years when I worked at the park. If you were ever caught throwing so much as a paper cup in the yard waste compactor, the head of Landscaping would have your ass. Maybe it was for trash 25 years ago but not for the past ten. You can drive back there and see the sign that says "Yard Waste Only!" right next to the compactor if you want, its sitting out in the open for anyone to see.

So, this isn't CP. But, it seemed pertinent to a discussion about recycling. This is about the city of Cleveland.

They should just charge folks $56 for every ton of recyclables they throw out.

99er I work there now...and it is most definitely for trash. There is no sign stating"yard waste only" on either compactor.

Well you were wrong, Mr. World.
