CP Hotels

Take Breakers. I recently stayed there in the old section and it was nice. one of my friends from school was 2 doors down. I know that Breakers has a package w/ 2 day passes to the park and soak city for $55.00. In the lobby, there is a gift shop and like 4 places to eat. You also get in the park 30 minutes early.

I stay at the Breakers for a few days every summer. It's usually a suite in the Breakers East section. A little expensive, but nothing beats the view and the sound of the waves on the beach with the balconey door open, especially on a cool night. Staying on site makes you feel like you are away from everything since you never have to deal with the outside world, Cedar Point is all around you.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Does getting in early still apply for Halloweekends? and is Hotel Breakers a 5 star hotel?

Breakers would not be classified as a 5 Star hotel though they do get 5 star prices. AAA doesn't rank Breakers or Sandcastle b/c they are not open year-round.

The Bay Harbour restaurant over at the marina is fine dining and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dinner. (Good place for a little romance too.)

BE has Krispy Kreme and Otis Spunkmeyer for breakfast with Juice, etc. McDonalds is across the street.

Krispy Kreme original glazed are just not the same cold as when they are fresh and hot right off the conveyor. Unfortunately the KK's at BE are delivered from either Cleveland or Toledo.

Sandusky is in serious need of a KK store and CP should be the one's to open it. Just put it on Causway Drive where the Pizza Parlor is. That way they can serve the locals all year long and supply the park and the resort hotels during the season.

There is nothing like the "HOT NOW" sign being lit!

I have stayed in all 3 CP hotels. I did not care much for Sandcastle... too expensive.

Hotel Breakers was very convenient, and I have stayed there many many times. but you do pay for that convenience because the rooms definately are not worth what they charge for them.

This year we tried Breakers Express. I stayed there in May for $49.00 a night. What a total bargain!!!! All the rooms are the same except some are handicapped or smoking rooms. We went back in June to BE and did the package deal. You cannot beat this hotel if you are the no frills kind of person. They have a nice pool as well. Breakfast is a little lame, but who cares? I will most likely choose them again over Breakers. You save A LOT of money and get all the benefits and convenience.

Tambo is right on the money in regards to Krispy Kreme.
