CP first timer, Got a couple questions???

I plan on getting there at 10am and leaving at 10pm on Thursday the 28th. My plan is to ride the top 10 roller coasters. Is it possible to do that in 1 day? Any chance of adding the 3 water rides to that list? I have read that it is good idea to park at the Soak City parking lot and go through the resort gate and ride the Maverick first? Do I have to have a ticket to Soak City to park at Soak City? Whats the best route to take to get to that parking lot? What about when I leave when the park closes, will it take alot longer to get back on the main road? Thanks in advance!

Both goals are possible--maybe even likely, depending on crowds, weather and mechanical issues. But it's absolutely not a guarantee.

I have read that it is good idea to park at the Soak City parking lot and go through the resort gate and ride the Maverick first?

Many have done so over the years and found it to be quite handy.

Do I have to have a ticket to Soak City to park at Soak City?

No. If you tell the employee at the toll booth, you will be directed to Perimeter Road, which wraps around the near-entirety of the park and terminates at parking for Breakers hotel. En route, you will see signs for the Soak City lot.

Whats the best route to take to get to that parking lot?

The aforementioned route is the only one to the Soak City lot.

What about when I leave when the park closes, will it take alot longer to get back on the main road?

At that time of night, traffic out of the Soak City lot shouldn't be terrible. (The waterpark itself closes at 8:00 on that date.) When you return to the merge point with traffic from the main parking lot, though, be prepared for things to get bogged down for a while.

Thanks in advance!

You're welcome, and I hope you enjoy your first visit to the Point. I believe you're in for a treat.

In my opinion Thursday is the best day to attempt to accomplish this feat. This last Thursday, the 21st, My kids and I rode all 16 coasters in just under 5 hours. But we had the advantage of getting in the park at 9, so we had the big 3 before 10.the Soak city lot is good, if you want to ride Maverick first. I usually enter through the Marina gate, closest to Millennium.

I'm also going this Thursday, I'm not expecting long lines.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

If Cedar Point closes at 10 your car would be sitting the Soak City Lot for a couple of hours and I know we have had to get passes to stay in that lot after hours. I am not sure what they would do. Just a thought. You can get on all of the coaster if you get early entry. But you would have to stay at a Cedar Point Hotel or Campground to recieve early entry.
