Unless your mother has a lead foot and drives 90 miles an hour...you will be fine. $100 bucks is all she will need.

you can get to cedar point with a tank of gas and have at least a quarter of a tank left

I'm not knocking your problem, as finding a way down to Sandusky is certainly a predicament when you're short on cash. However, working out the math with a high end estimate of $4/gallon for gas, your van would have to get less than 9 miles per gallon in order for the 450 mile round trip (according to Google maps) to cost $200.
I'm sure it's possible that your van gets less than 9 MPG, my first car (an 83 Chevy) was only getting around 8 MPG in it's final days. It had a 25 gallon tank, and used every drop of it just to get round trip from Toledo to CP. Thankfully gas was only 99 cents a gallon in those days.
In short, $200 should be enough, as long as you don't have any unforeseen expenses like a breakdown or something. Hopefully you can find someone to car pool with you to split the cost. I wish you luck!
