Cp and LE Railroad Question

I have been hired as one of the atls for 2008. I am transferring from Geauga Lake so I don't know much about this ride.
What different positions are there.
How many crew members work each day.
Or any other info about this ride.
I know that ride ops don't run the train im just curious to know what we actually do.

You sit at the crossing gates and wave at the idiots trying to sneak under the chain link gate guard!

You then call security and watch them get chased down the tracks into boneville where they get burnt from the fire display.

As they are being shuttled out in the ambulance cart - you are then required to fill out a bunch of incident reports and go through multiple in person interviews to help get a consistent statement for the cedar point police department which in turn will not release a statement to the Sandusky Police Department or the reporters at the Sandusky Register.

3 months later Cedar Fair attorneys will call on you again to try and regurgitate your statement verbatum.

4 months later Cedar Fair attorneys will call on you again to issue a more thorough statement.

6 months later after numerous media stories are disseminated regarding the pending lawsuit against Cedar Fair for the person's 3rd degree burns, you find out the park settled the problem for an undisclosed amount.

That in a nut shell is what you will be doing.

There are three gatehouses one for the main station and two for frontier station. when theres one train running there is one conductor and someone at PA in the front plus the two people in charge one at both stations. When two trains are running there is another conductor and an extra person at the back station on the platform. Basically when your in charge you make sure the other station knows that your sending the train in two train operation both trains have to leave the station at the same time

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure you have two ATLs to help you have an in-charge person at both stations.

You will have one blue tag at the Frontier station, and the other atl and Tl at the main station. Heidi, your TL is awesome and you should have a good time.

The train at Frontier Town is dispatched first. As it is leaving, Main begins their spiel and dispatches their train. Reason for this, there is more track to cover from Frontier Town to Main then there is from Main to Frontier Town. I was a fireman/engineer on the CP & LE RR during '82 and '83 season. Get used to saying, "Please remain seated..." especially when the train ceases forward momentum then shifts back a bit.

The Train is the Only Ride in the Park to Have A TL and 2 ATL's and then their is the Engine House which is in Charge of The TRAIN it's Self and the Enginner's

The TL and ATL's are in Charge of the Safely Loading and Unloading of Guest, Safety of the Conductor's and all Traing Matters that Pretain to the Operation of the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad's Crossing's Making Sure that the Guest Stay behing the Red Bricked Area or the Yellow Line So that the Gates can Go Up or Down.... They Also Signal Each Station as to the Trains Movement's ... In the Morning you will come in and decobweb the train and gate houses with other employees the Train will depart to the Frontier Station at some point .... In the Morning it's a One Train Operation unless it's going to be a busy Day then the other train will be dispacted Around 11 am their will be a 2 Train Operation moving Guest from Frontier Town to Main Station and So forth.... It's also a nightmare when a gate doesn't work properly .... Cause you will have to try and wash out the Train ..... These are 100% Real Steam Locomotives...

When the TL Leave's the 2 ATL's will run the Train and normally will rotate who is at main or Frontier every other night unless on is off then the ATL will be at Main and a 3rd in Charge Person will be in charge of the Frontier Station this only occurs if the TL and ATL is gone....

When The Snoopy Summer Spectacular Starts the Train Will Close Early to Assit in Crowd Control at the Show and No One is Allowed in that Area except for the Spotter who looks behind the Laser Show Booth to make sure they don't see any airplanes.... but you will enjoy getting paid to stand and tell guest to keep moving please. You also get to use those really cool traffic control sticks.... Just be aware the Show is great to watch but you will see it Nightly all Summer from the Time it starts till it ends. You will informed on the Show Details as it draws closer to time for that to begin

Im confused on the lead stuff. Do the leads just stay at stations or do they work the gates and conductor positions also?
