CP & LE Railroad - History

I can remember three train operations. Had five locomotives available, six actually, but none of the engineers wanted to be assigned to the Maud L. She was/is finicky. When Millie was built that signaled the end of the possibility of three train operation.

Is there a reason Millennium Force put an end to three trains? I remember some of the track was shifted over for construction that year, but I wasn't aware that ended the ability for three train operations.

Some good news for the CP&LE Railroad lately.

Myron H is back as of about a month ago, and he looks and sounds fantastic. Over Labor Day weekend, both Myron H and Judy K were running, something we haven’t seen much in recent years. Crowds were moderate to heavy, but two-train ops kept wait times down. Plus, hearing the whistles and that clickety-clack every few minutes brought back that old time CP atmosphere.

Boneville also looked nearly fully operational. All of the main scenes and even the little details were going, a big improvement.

Glad to see they’re putting money and care into this. It may not be a new headliner, but the CP&LE railroad is one of the few rides everyone can enjoy, and honestly one of the best theme park trains out there when it’s operating like this. These wins really add up.

As far as the end of 3 trains, I don’t think that’s happened since the 80s when they last had those little train cars. There was an inner spur at the funway station which I assume could handle an extra train to load and unload. Millennium forces final over bank is right where that spur was, so probably why it was removed.

When I was there in June they were testing the second train. It rolled into frontier town and everyone was all pissy when it left without passengers. As far as boneville scenes, it would be kinda cool to bring back some of the live action Halloween scenes.
