couple cp questions

I have a question, If your under 21 does anyone know if you can have someone older than 21 order it for the person younger. Like they call up when they reserve a cabin and then when the younger person gets there they just check in under that name.
They do check id!

All persons must be 21 or older, unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian. This is for ALL Cedar Point resorts.

You may want to try an off-CP hotel. I've stayed at the Best Western for years because of the 21 age rule.

Not entirely correct. The individual 21+ doesn't need to be anyone's legal guardian, they just need to be in the room. The first year I stayed at SandCastle, I was only 19, and was with another 19yr old, an 18yr old, and a 22yr old. None of us were in anyway related, and we had no problems getting a room.

Generally speaking, state laws dictate the minimum age for renting rooms. Obviously the youngest you could possibly be would be 18 due to laws regarding juveniles entering into contracts and liability for room damages and such things.

It's becoming a more frequent practice that hotels require the room to be registered in the name of someone 21 years of age or older. That person MUST be staying in the room, as far as anyone else in the room, if they're 18 or older, they wouldn't need parental consent or supervision because they're legally considered adults. But I've been working in the hospitality industry for 5 years now and have yet to see anybody be carded in their room unless they're being evicted and there's alchohol or drugs present.

The policy is that if someone in the group is over 21 the younger ones can stay but the hotel people are supposed to get your phone numbers and call your home to verify with your parents that you are allowed to be staying overnight.

Your parents can call and make the reservation for you and explain the situation at that point if they are cool with it.

Thanks for the responses, I was inquiring about rental age because in the past I thought I saw somewhere that you had to be 25 or older to rent at CP, but seeing that I turned 22 on Oct 1st, I will be at Lighthouse Point this summer!! if they are not booked already... and how does the early admission work? what rides can u get on?

thanks again

Interesting... Breakers never let me register, and they still won't, for the fact that some occupants aren't over 21. Wonder if it's a Breakers rule and not a SandCastle one, or maybe the person was misinformed.
