The live band was what always brought me into the garter. The halloweekends show was great as always, and I hope to see a live band in there again for next year. The other shows in the park are ok, but not great enough to go see over and over again like the garter show. The country show was kind of a let down compared to shows of past.

I had also heard the rumor about no more live band in the garter. I sure hope it is false, because if they do get rid of it there will be about a dozen less people that I know of( me being one of them) that will not be spending there money in the garter.

As a matter of fact, the live entertainment seemed to take a turn for the worse this year.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Speaking of the rumor of no live band, I heard it as well on closing day. I hope it's false too. As some man said closing day, the band is what makes the Garter what it is.

The garter will not be the same without a live band. No matter who was singing you could always count on the band to put on a show of their own. Jay Jackson is an amazing drummer and so much fun to watch. He brought so much to both shows this year. Heard he is off to travel the world though so even if there is a band I am afraid no "Action" Jackson next year. The other guys in this years band were a lot of fun to watch too, and really played well together. I hope decision makers in Live Entertainment rethink this and keep the garter alive.

^ I doubt the decision is up to Live E.

I have seen every show in every CP venue since 1980 and I agree with Crazy Horse. LiveE took a huge plunge this year.

^ I noticed it too, and I suspect budgets had everything to do with it.

Live E took a plunge this year? Let's see:

Brand New Ice Show
Brand New Extreme Sports show (reopening a previously closed venue)
Brand New Centennial Show (which is a 2008 IAAPA finalist)
as well as 3 performers being a finalist for Best Female/Best Male Performer

Yeah...horrible season!

The new ice show was just "ok" compared to shows of the past. The centennial show was not as good as last years show. There was some talent in the show, but the show was not that great. What's the saying...you can't polish a terd.

I was not able to see the skate show at the dolphin stadium this year, but I had heard reports that it was nothing special.

I was extreamly dissapointed in the red garter show this year. Not just because I don't care much for country music, but it was just not as good as years past. The halloweekends show at the garter was good, but not as good as past shows. Bring back the full band. The sax player they had a few years ago was great. If they bring in canned music next year at the garter, you won't find me there.

The other halloweekends shows were the same as last year except that they moved the edger allen poe shows to a new venue(Imo ruined it).

I did however like the new show at the good time theater for halloweekends this year.

The shows at six flags(chicago) were much better than the cp shows this year......I could never say that before.

So all in all, the shows have took a turn for the worse.
