Could someone please show me....

...the type of shoe I will need? As you can tell from my screenname and signature that I will be an auditor this year. I'm being told that I will need a brown or black type shoe. I keep sending pictures of shoes to management and they always say "..looks too much like a tennis shoe. You want more of a Doc Marten type of casual shoe." I like to think I have a pretty good sense of style and I know that casual shoes of that nature are not worn with shorts. I am not going to buy CP's generics either. So could someone please help me out with a picture? Thank you!

That's what I was afraid they were talking about. Those along with blue shorts are good and dorky. Thanks for the help though.

Do the auditors wear the standard CP uniform? I would think if they are telling you to get a different style of shoe that they've got a different more "dressy" uniform for you.

I'm not sure really what type of uniform we will have. I assume at some point we will be wearing shorts, and casual shoes (I call them boots) aren't made for shorts. Oh well, I guess I won't be the only one dressed like a tool. Haha

That's why I find it hard to believe that they would require those shoes with a uniform of shorts. Not that I think CP is looking out for your fashion sense, but presentation is everything. And dress shoes and shorts just do not go together.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're in khakis and a polo shirt all summer. No shorts.

I believe the auditors uniform are tan pants, a white button up shirt with a snoopy tie... this the reason for the more dressy shoes...

I belive the dress code is black shoes white socks and blue shorts, how sweet is that! ;)

I have a pair of brown slip-on shoes from Land's End. They are comfortable enough to wear all day at work and still (I think) look nice. Did you look at thier shoes? I think I bought them at Sears.

Yeah, I'll probably go down to the local budget shoe shop and buy a cheap pair of "casual" shoes. Hopefully I can find a pair that doesn't have three inch thick bottoms. Haha

Dont count on wearing shorts...All office wokers..Supervisors...guest services....hotel desk staff....reservations....audtiors all wear pants

I agree. Though the summer didn't start out this way, they did have to switch to the Area Sup uniform. Do you know who your boss is yet? I'm pretty good friends with the woman who has been the lead Foods Auditor for several years now. Her name is Shannon. Keep in mind that you'll be doing a lot of walking, so you will want comfortable shoes for sure!

I have another friend who worked in the main part of the office too. He would agree in saying that comfy shoes is key to your feet surviving. :-)
