Anyone have any good experiences on Corkscrew this year? Just checkin on what you think. We have really been trying to cut down on the stacking this year. Hope to see you around the rest of this season!
Retired TL Ride Host 04-09 Miss you Cedar Point!
I rode Corkscrew earlier this summmer and you guys were doing great! Definetly one of the best crews.
I can't imagine trying to hit interval in 22 seconds with seatbelts. Yuck!!!!

Are you the talkative/friendly/cool one? We've ridden the 'screw on pretty much each of our visits and it has a lot to do with the platform atmosphere. It's become similar to CCMR in that regard. It doesn't hurt that the line is short, and the ride is still really fun.
Now that it's the last of the little arrow loopers in Ohio, it's even better. :)
For some reason this roller coaster always hurts the tail end of my back, if I don't ride in the very front.
I can't imagine that any experience on Corkscrew is a good one.

My daughter is tall enough to ride Corkscrew, and I'm deliberately not encouraging her to ride it. I don't want to ruin her on all other coasters with inversions/OTSR's.
Wish I could get her down to SFKK to try Greezed Lightning. That's a perfect upside down starter coaster.

I've had some bad experiences on corkscrew, look at my PB name, it's explains itself.
The airtime you get on the hill when you ride in the back is worth waiting the 5 minutes it takes. Last time I went to the park we got in line, and Corkscrew broke down. We left and carried on our way. Later in the day we passed by and it was running again. Just as we were about to board the train it broke again. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Anyway I like it a lot.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
You guys are doing much better than the people last year, good job!
I find Corkscrew to be a fun ride, lots of great airtime and it's still fun to go through the crokscrews over the midway and look down over the people while upsidedown.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I rode it for the first time this year so I don't know how it ran in other years! But I had a good time on it! It reminded me of the Double Loop and the Corkscrew from Geauga Lake, especially the Corkscrew part. I feel that CP keeps the ride in mint condition and I hope it stays at the park for years to come!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
I personally don't think it's too bad, but I always keep my head pushed against the headrest and the ride seems a little smoother.

I've never understood all the negative feelings towards Arrow loopers... Sure they have a bit of headbanging, but it's nothing compared to Vekoma...
And I rarely have problems on Corkscrew... I rode it earlier this season and didn't hit my head once...

Thanks Pete I am the TL yet again this year and we are all on the same page.Every single one of us wants to crush last year's numbers which were the worst numbers in Corkscrews history.Interval (like Magnums) is only 1 train sitting outside the station and to-date we had 49 intervals in a row on a busy Saturday! (without the 3rd train stopping in Transfers) Thank you for your compliment. Ill pass this to the crew

My main problem with Corkscrew is the headrest. It sticks out from the seat and digs into my neck and lower back. I imagine if I were a few inches shorter it would make for a more comfortable ride. But I'm only 6'2" -- it's not like I'm exactly huge.

Corkscrew had the most personality as far a crew/rider interaction of any ride I rode in the park. It was a bit too rough for me, but the crew were fun to "play" with before loading.

bad, but thinking makes it so. --Hamlet
I have only ever rode this about 4-5 times. My first couple of rides all three trains were stacked on the transfer track. Not that it mattered because of short queues, but it seemed useless to run 3 trains. This year i can see why they have all 3 trains. You guys are doing a great job this year compared to last year and in the past. The magnum crew also has improved from 2007. Maverick needs a little work though. There is no reason for all 6 trains to be stacked twice within 5 minutes.
