Cool Cedar Point Gifts

I agree with "fat chris", that the merchandise dept. has really stepped it up. But I don't think they're quite to the next level. I think they still need to cut out some of the cheesiness and pump a little more class into some of the stuff they sell, especially in the clothing department. Less crappy t-shirt designs, and more quality polos or button-down shirts... something with a more up-to-date style.

Having said that...

Any similarity in name is purely coincidental.

I can't think of the name of the place, but the big store towards the front of the park has a lot of clothing like you just described CoasterGuy78. I know that's where I picked up a few polos and a fleece this past season.

Pagoda or Park Plaza? Park Plaza is the gift shop right next to the entrance/exit. Pagoda is next to the Coliseum.

I know the Plaza has some good stuff, but I guess I'd like to see better styles, and more of it. Maybe I have high standards for the park, but Cedar Point kind of brings that upon themselves.

I think old school tee's would be kewl. Maybe like a vintage type corkscrew shirt, since it came out back in that type of time. Also, they should come out with Cedar Point laniards(the car key holder thingys). That would be a must buy for me and a lot of other people I know.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Lanyards would be awesome, I have one with my school name and logo on it but I would deffinetly replace it if Cedar Point came out with one!

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Actually, they DO have, or at least DID have, CP lanyards... I have one. ;)

I have a couple of them. Bought them at "Speed Zone", next to TTD.

Here's a long post started about them:

I think Cedar Point grab bags would be nice, with vintage shirts and other items in them, the bags would probably be too expensive if there were 2 shirts in one, though.

Macho, is the fleece you picked up a fleece jacket with a zipper down the front and the CP logo on the upper left? I have a navy blue fleece like that, and I wanted to buy another one but didn't see any this year.

I bought mine two years ago and really like it, I wear it under my ski parka sometimes.

I would like a better collection of hoodies, both in styles and in sizes. I was trying to find a good Raptor hoodie and they don't exist, which is unfortunate.

I do like the retro ideas. They could make some really good shirts like that.

The other thing I would like to see, although probably won't because I'm the only one, are hockey jerseys. I would like to be able to get one, even if they were only available via the webstore.

You know, that's not such a bad idea either, JuggaLotus. Having a collection of quality sportswear - be it jerseys or casual clothes or (good) baseball hats - featuring an official sports brand and team colors for CP. Or maybe something even more comprehensive as treating each ride like a sports franchise (the Raptors or Team Magnum). I suppose they kind of do this on a smaller level, but I think if they had an actual, solid collection, people would go for it.

Or perhaps I would just like to see them use the ride logos more prominently, like sports logos, and use more of them (Gemini, Demon Drop, Blue Steak, Wildcat...) I can only stand so many illustrated ride t-shirts. How cool would a nice black polo with the Raptor face on the breast and nothing else be?

Also, I like the poster idea they started, but I thought some of the photos they used could be much better.

i would love a vintage wildcat tee.

actually i would flock to any wildcat merchandise.

They sold a bunch of vintage merchandise back at Emporium at a very discounted price last year. I forget what rides were on them though.
