I'm sure for an achievement like that you could get the approval of a manager to do a 1000th ride photo. It just needs to be arranged properly. But since its already done I guess its late for that now. But congratulations anyway Tony! I only wish I had the time for 1000 rides on Millennium, the #1 coaster in the world. *** Edited 8/8/2005 11:19:23 PM UTC by RidePhoto101***

No one congratulated me on my 1000th on the Force last year....oh well....
If thats the only reason why you're riding something, stop riding then. I never got any "recognition" for my 1000 rides on Magnum, nor did I seek it out, or want it. The recognition finds you. It found Tony, it found Dan, and it found others, and they embraced it. For those that it didn't find, they either were very bitter about not getting the recognition, or they were the same ride loving person they always were.
And then there's those who have their mothers call PR to get the fame... (where is he now, anyways?)

For some reason I want to say you picked up around 35 or more if I recall correctly. Congrats, glad you finally made it. I remember how long it took to get to 500. Sorry I couldn't make it but I was there in spirit. Now the real question is of those 1000 what was the most memorable?

Millennium Mania...ahhhh the memories, right Hooper? ;)
I seem to recall during one of the Friday night MMs that Hooper and I got like 35 rides on MF and got bored with it so went back to Raptor and got like another 30 (or was it 40?) rides.
Of course, those were the days they let us re-ride.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Man, 1000 rides over 5 years! Congrats Tony. I'm only 990 behind you (I don't think I'll get there until 2090, lol). I wish I could get up to 100 on maXair this year, but I'm only seeing 50 or 60 this year.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Yeah that is probably right Jo. I don't really remember. But we got a bunch on both. And yes those were the days of re-rides. Hey I found another FAQ Question and Answer

Congrats Tony! Dang, I thought I would be in the lead with my 39 total. LOL. I would have it 40 this august but the fricken ride broke down the one night and I never got a chance to go back on. I also told myself for my 40th ride that I would sit in the front... o well maybe another lucky trip during sept or oct!
thank you.....and enjoy your record breaking ride on Millennium Force!
OK, so I'm late to the thread, but congratulations anyway Tony! It had to be rough on you these past couple of summers since the intervals have slowed down, but I knew you could do it. Good for you!
Oh, and by the way...I never got any recognition for the 700,000th lapbar that I checked. ;)
