Community Bathrooms/showers??

I am just curious how those work.. Like I have never been in a community one before.. So is it like a bunch of individual showers or like the gym showers where you shower together? Lol. And Like sinks and toilets and all that are in the same place? I know I sound so ridiculous right now.. but I'm just curious.

They are individual showers, at least in Commons. I've not seen the bathrooms in Gold or Cedars, so someone else can comment on those. Toilets and sinks are in the same place, with toilets in individual stalls. It's not an open floor plan. :)

Golds also has individual showers with curtains; individual toilet stalls with doors. The showers are a tad smaller than at Commons dorms.

We're all just going to throw one big shower party.

i hated the idea of community bathrooms, and never once in college lived in a dorm with them because i was "terrified" other than a few upsetting things that females do the community bathrooms are not bad at all - i've lived in both the 1500s and the 1300s...1500s overall are larger and more clean - but if you get in the shower in the 1300s after they are cleaned it's all good.

one time i had a little too much fun at louies and i woke up wrapped in a blanket on the floor in the bathroom stall...now i wouldn't go as far to say that they are clean enough for that to happen..but i didn't catch any diseases (:

Halloween this year, I totally passed out on the floor of the 1500's girl's bathroom. Totally disgusting. Ha ha.

gaaah. i would have way preferred the 1500s because the 1300s at say...3:30 4:00 on a monday morning are not the best... well..yolo?

Remember, if you REALLY need to go to the bathroom or you need to take a shower, if you're in any hurry whatsoever, the bathrooms will be closed for cleaning.

Don't you know, they find out when people work, and then start cleaning 5 minutes beforehand? Also, it seems like they take FOREVER to clean it...

That was one of the nice things about working early entry for the last three years, I always made it into the bathroom before they started cleaning it.

Unless they have changed things radically in the last forty years, Cedars had toilets strategically located in each wing (the rooms had a sink and that was it). The showers were located in a relatively new building and are like the ones in a high school gym, plus there were toilet facilities in there as well.
