Commons Dorms

Okay, I haven't worked at Cedar Point since these dorms were built ('99, wasn't it?), but I lived in Gold while I was there. I also spent one week in the Commons Apartments (won't repeat that if I can avoid it...). Obviously these dorms cannot be as delapidated as those on-point, but still, how are they? Is there a laundry facility? Microwaves available? How about furniture? Any advice / tips / descriptions would be appreciated! Thanks gang!

Commons..

Laundry facility-yup. A microwave availiable by the desk guard. Furniture: 3 beds (1 is bunk) 3 lockers, 1 tall dresser, 1 light, a 3 shelf system in the corner, a chair and a trash. Nothing fancy by far CrystalKat, I was lucky since I didn't have a roommate so it wasn't too terrible bad. If you're planning on working Halloweekends (and I think you had mentioned that previousely) bring TONS of blankets cause it gets COLD in those rooms! The bathroom does gets DISGUSTING, and as far as showers go, bring your own disinfectant (those Clorox sheets are wonderful) to clean the stalls before you shower. I also recommend getting up EARLY to get ready and then you've pretty much got the entire bathroom to yourself. They also have cleaning stuff (bucket, cleaner, mop, broom) they will let you borrow to tidy up your room if you want. I know what you mean about Gold and Commons apartments, spent tons of time in those too--blech!!!
Considering the rent was free I guess Commons dorm was ok. Of course I was used to my own HOUSE so it was quite the shock when I 1st arrived!!! :)
You should try to get into the new section they can't possibly be that trashed already-or you would at least hope not! If I was going to work there again that is exactly where I would want to stay.
