Commons 2005

I just talked to HR and found out that Commons Apartments will not be open on April 1st, the day a lot of people check in. Just wondering if anyone has the official commons opening date. While I don't mind Bayside, I do plan on moving once commons is open. I'm looking for the date so I can plan when to get my stuff delivered to Sandusky. Thanks

PS I did ask HR and was told I don't know. One way that employee's are not treated like guests.

april 1st? I didn't realize that a lot of people checked in so early.

I always thought bayside was really popular- do you think an apartment for atleast 6 will be open by may 14th?

I'm sure it won't be long before they open it. They couldn't give me a date, they only said they wanted to fill Bayside before they opened commons. I assume it wont take to long, since castaway bay employees are still there.

Usually Bayside was full and Commons was opening around the End of April the first few weeks of May. But that was in '02 and '03, before Castaway Bay was there.

I had just talked to my manager this afternoon because I am processing in on Monday. I had asked her which places are open to live in and she had said everything is now open, both the dorms, and the apartments. Although gold and cedars i dont think are open yet...they usually don't open till sometime in May.

So can anyone else confirm that the commons dorms are in fact open?

Commons Apartments open on Thursday March 31st ... 1500 Building (Dorms) open April 14th ... there won't be any room in Bayside ... it is pretty full right now with Castaway Bay people in the 700 building and the sups and cops are going to be in the 800 building so there won't be any empty apartments ... you might be able to find an open bed in one of them but that will be by chance ... and then 1300 and 1400 buildings will most likely open May 1st when the most of the employees process in ... these dates are off the memo from housing ...

That's the news I was hoping for Dennis. Thanks for giving me hope. I didn't think there was any chance of the dorms being open yet. But the apartments being open will save a ton of moving time. Can't wait to go. I'm jealous of those who check earlier during this upcoming week. Even though I will be there on THURSDAY. Let the fun and games begin!
