Coming from Jersey and want to work at the Point

I haven't heard back from HR when I emailed them my situation or back from the park after I applied. Is this normal? Sorry just kind of nervous..

you'll hear back soon. They never ignore an email. It did snow alot in Sandusky today so maybe their closed :)

So I emailed the head of employee housing and she says you have to be 18 for housing. Even though I'm turning 18 a month after I work there -__- Whatever, guess I'm coming in July.

you can live in commons at 17 becuz i did it when i graduated high school in 08, but you can't work for rides till you are 18

It was the same last year too! You had to be 18, and it was hard enough to have even a family member visit if they were under 18...I don't know that because of my family, but a few friends of mine had that problem in 2010 and 2011...

last year there were people living in commons that were 17. They were turning 18 like a month away when they checked in

really? Wow! A friend of mine that was way younger than me in high school (started after I graduated) talked to HR about possibly coming up to work, but he was 17 and they wouldn't let him live in the dorms until he was 18 in June...weird!

that's how it was for me too... my birthday's june 30th and they had me process in july 1st (they didn't want to waste a second) :p if you plan on staying until the every end than it won't been too much time wasted, and keep in mind there's always not year if you feel like july is too late of a start (;

I suspect it probably depends on the department/manager that hires you more than anything.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm actually going to look into off point housing until I'm 18.
