I've been on a bunch of wooden coasters at different parks and I usually ride in the back car to get a lot of airtime. I was just wondering if their are any steel coasters at the point that can do that besides Magnum. I started going to the point regularly for about 3 years and I think the only steel coaster I've ridden in the back of was Magnum. I was just curious if MF did the same thing. My friends always insist on waiting for the front car. Thanks!

Any hyper worth its salt gets great air, although never as good as Magnum. The trio of Morgans at the other CF parks are good, the B&M hypers, and you really should try S:ROS @ SFNE, that ride packs a good punch. However, there is one ride that has given me more powerful ejector air then Magnum, and that was Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood, if that ride was just a touch longer it would be my #1 coaster, as it is it is in my top ten.
Are you talking about the double down near the end of the ride? Owww.

^That would be it, and it wasn't an ow! More like a holy s@#$! in a good way. That is the most recent coaster to join the club of coasters that have completely blown me away on my first ride. Also those bunny hills are as forceful as Magnum
Riding in the back of Magnum, to me, seems like a completely different experience than riding in front

The Voyage delivers a lot of good sustained floater air though out the ride. Its one of my top five rides for sure, and it totally blew me away the first time I rode it.
Magnum still has the strongest ejector air I have experienced, but I have not rode Phantom's revenge either.
Jackrabbit at Kennywood is RIDICULOUS. With no seatbelts or lapbars, it really feels like you might fall out on the double dip.

I would say Maverick, MF, and Blue Streak are the top coasters other than Magnum with air time. Corkscrew also has some big air time on the small dip after the lift. Other than that, it is minimal on the other coasters.

Jackrabbit at Kennywood is great, but there definitely are seat belts on that ride, otherwise you WOULD fall out. I like to stay alive long enough to get back to the station :)
I am looking forward to riding maverick for the first time this year. I went two years ago and it was down for my whole trip. If its warm out you get some air on dragster sometimes in the front seat. It seemed like it was running really fast one warm June day we went.
Maverick has some really amazing airtime. Also a very big fan of Apollo's Chariot at BGE. And obviously Magnum in the ejector seat ;)

There have been times at Kennywood on the Jackrabbit where the person I was riding with and I nearly ended up on top of each other from that double dip.
in the back of millennium you get whipped over the hills. from my experience, there's not as much airtime in the back as the middle or front of the coaster. magnum on the other hand, i prefer near the front or the middle for airtime.
the back of the rollercoasters don't seem to have as much airtime as the front or middle to me...anyone else have this problem?
So stoked for 2010 :]

Magnum is by far the best for air time. Let me tell you me and my buddy were riding magnum one day and while we were going through the bunny hops all of my change came out of my pockets. i had about 2 dollars worth of change in my poket. At the end of the ride we found one quarter on the floor. The best part though was we went to look at our pictures and low and behold there was the quarter we found on the floor. It was in mid air perfectly in between me and my buddy. I bought that picture and it is on display with the quarter taped to it. That was a great time except for the fact that i lost $1.75 of change.

I personally prefer nice strong floater air on a coaster, like the 3rd hill of Magnum. The way back can be a little too much sometimes, but if you crank down your seat belt, it will help it from hurting your legs as bad.
