This was by far my BEST Cedar Point trip EVER! 19 hours at Cedar Point isn't bad at all!
I got up at 3:00a.m. and drove 3 1/2 hours to the park. I got in the Group Sales line to buy my ticket-took about 1/2 hour. Then I got in line for Millennium Force.
There is nothing in the world that can compare to it! I waited 45 minutes and I was at the station. To my suprise there was a line for the front. This kind of made me mad, because The cut off for letting people into the station stopped at me. When I got into the station, they had just stopped allowing people in that line, so I got in car 1-2. It was so AWESOME. You go up the hill and before you know it, you're getting "launched" over the top because the 3rd train has gone into the unload station. This thing is fast fast fast! I love the floater airtime on the lagoon hills. After getting back to the station, I decided to go to Raptor.
I got 3 walk-ons on Raptor. I got in the back all 3 times.
It's quite eerie (no pun intended) not have to wait in line for such a great ride. Off to Mantis.
I'm from Indiana, so I forgot about the time difference and I went there an hour early. I waited for it to open. I got on the front of the first train going out. Then I got on again in the back.
I had to meet my brother so it took some time away from riding other coasters :(. After I met him, I went to the Blue Streak.
It was about a 15 minute wait. I rode in the back with the lapbar raised slighty and seat belt loose. It beat the crap out of me, but I loved every minute of it. My friends and I decided to ride all of the coasters/rides starting with Power Tower and ending up at Cedar Creek Mine Ride. So it was off to Power Tower.
The sign said 45 minutes, but it was closer to 30. I went down with 2 friend who hadn't been on it before. They didn't like the heights, but they liked the ride. Corkscrew was next.
I waited 5 minutes to ride. It was a good ride. I almost lost my hat on this one. I seem to remember having grab bars on the OSR last year. Magnum was next.
Magnum took 25-30 minutes to get on. I don't know if it is rougher or if the back is always rough. It was a great ride with airtime and bumps. Next was Woodstock's Express.
Nice little ride. It was a walk-on and it's pretty fast. If it was a little longer it might just beat CCMR. Next was Gemini.
It was a 5 minute wait. It was really competitive. The red train won. It was better than I remember it. Next was Mean Streak.
There was a 15 minute wait. I got up front. It was rough-just the way I like it. Last was CCMR.
It took about 15 minutes to get on. I hadn't been on it for 5 years and it was better the I remember.
I decided to go to the IMAX-mostly for the air conditioning. I like the very first POV, but the others weren't very good.
I got on Millennium Force again with a 1 1/4 hour wait. 1-2 again just as great as the first time.
I got on the bumper cars as a walk-on, it's always fun to have head on collisions with 9 year-olds. Next I decided to go on MF again.
This was a dusk/night ride. The lights starting coming on all over the park. This was a 1 1/2 wait. It was better than the others because it felt a lot faster. After getting off I wanted to get on Mantis 1 more time.
It was the first time I got a night ride on Mantis. It was better the in the day. It was a walk-on too.
Once I got off, I heard the ringing of the train crossing. I sprinted and just barely got across before the arms went down. Now for a TRUE night ride on MF.
I am now going to contradict myself. There is ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING that can compare with a midnight night ride on MF. I felt 2 times as fast. It was great! the lights on the island are great. looking under the over-banks are AWESOME! It WAS the best thrill ride ever! Now for ERT on Magnum.
This by far the best experience on Magnum I've ever had! Just coaster nuts riding a legend. I got in the ejector seat after waiting 45 minutes. This was my first time on the ejector seat. IT LIVES UP TO IT'S NAME! I love this thing without midcourse brakes! It beat the crap out of me and I loved every minute of it. Now for the last ride of the night, I mean morning.
It was just as good, without as much airtime. I freaked out my friend, because I was hanging halfway out the side on the turnaround. He said when he looked over all he saw was an arm sticking up in the air.
This was the most memorable time at Cedar Point. I definitely got my fill of coasters for the day. And that's my Coastermania trip report.
