I left Thursday the 1st at about 4:30 PM. Due to some traffic problems on the NY thruway, I didn't arrive at the park until about 10:30. After checking into Breakers, I took a walk around in the lot to see MF.
Woke up at about 6:00 for Coastermania. Took a quick shower and I was ready. The shuttle service at Breakers was great. Upon arrivial to the main gate, I saw the huge line for tickets. D'oh! Luckily it only took about 25 minutes. After getting in, we headed right for MF. Waited about 80 minutes. It was a great ride, but the lack of intensity left me wanting more. I still prefer Superman: Ride of Steel at SFDL. By this time the GP was being let in. Headed for Raptor with waits of 6 and 15 minutes. Seems to get better each year.
After ERT was over, we headed to Mantis. 15 minute waits both times. Still my #1 coaster (Little did I know what the evening ERT had in store :) ). Next was Power Tower. 20 Minute wait for drop due to the fact that only one drop tower was running. Took a walk toward Magnum and hit Corkscrew on the way. Walk-on for CS. Magnum had a 15 minute wait for 1-3. Great air. We took a loop around until lunch, hitting Gemini, CCMR and Mean Streak (Ugh....that trim on the drop).
The others went back to the hotel at about 1 and left me on my own. Headed towards Space Spiral and DT before realizing I had walked right on by the Waterball at 1:35. D'oh again. After kicking myself, I rode Demon Drop since I was in the area. 20 minute wait. Heade to BS and rode 11 times, since most were almost walk-on. From then until 9:00, I rode whatever I was near.
At 9:00 I arrived at Mantis. Got in about 9 rides until they closed it at 10 before the ERT. This ERT was worth the trip alone. By the end of ERT I had 25+ rides(stopped counting at 20). What a great time that was. Getting the ride ops to sat Banshee instead of Mantis was great. Anyone who saw the red-haired teen with a Mantis shirt running back to the station after every ride, that was me. Mantis was sooo much smoother with the trims barely grabbing. Took one last Magnum ride before calling it a night.
Saturday was very crowded, so I just went in to take photos and shoot some video. Went to the hotel at noon and came back at 8 to ride a little more. Got a ride on MS, 8 on Gemini (all red train), rides on DT, SS and DD.
