And expanding on what Dennis asked, how was the ERT compared to last year?
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
The ERT this year was incredible. While I know there were some technical issues with Maverick during the ERT (Limiting me to one ERT ride before it went down) SteVe was a short wait. Even with the extra crowds that came over from Maverick, I was able to ride SteVe 5 times in an hour, including the last train of the night. They also kept SteVe open an extra 15 minutes to help make up for Maverick's downtime.
I didn't hit Wild Mouse during the ERT, but when I walked past the line looked to be on par with what I saw during a slow period later in the day. Given that the mouse is the new ride and everyone was looking to get the new credit, I wasn't surprised to see the longest ERT lines there.
During their respective ERTs, Gemini, Magnum, Blue Streak, Raptor and Gatekeeper were all walk-ons, or close to it... and Valravn was only a few minutes. Definitely an improvement over last year's ERT crowds!!!
Based on the Q & A attendance, we were guessing about 1000.
Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?
From all accounts it sounds like the park absolutely corrected course on Coastermania this year after the less than stellar event in 2022. Rides were ready in the morning, crowds were low enough so ERT was actually E, the schedule allowed participants to not have to choose one thing over another. Dare I say they "made everyone whole"
Agree that this year's event was fantastic. I was one of the few people who were evacuated from Maverick when it went down. I was in the pre-lift holding spot for 20 minutes. And we were disheartened when SV was chained off when we got back there, but then thrilled when they not only opened it up for us, but kept it open for another forty minutes. The morning ERT was great, the dinner was really good, and six rides on SV to cap off the nighttime ERT was the perfect ending to an incredible day at the park. Kudos to Tony and his team, as well as the ride crews for crushing it. We had a blast.

In regards to my posting of 'Anybody know how many participants/tickets this years' was limited to', my 'ticket' with the tear off stubs was #730 at about 8:15am.

C Hertling:
SteVe... ...SteVe... ...SteVe...
I would first like to sincerely thank you for the quality feedback on this year's CM, it was a good, succinct summary. However, I cannot upvote anyone who uses that moniker for Steel Vengeance, so not only is there no "+1" for you, but I would "-1" or even "-1,000,000" you if such a thing were possible.
Glad to hear they seem to have limited CM sufficiently to make it enjoyable for those who could attend.
Brandon
Concocted, corny nicknames sort of rankle me as well, but it appears that SteVe really pushes Brandon over the top.
i'm not sure what your family dynamic is, whether you may have a daughter or not, but I am envisioning this possible scenario: "Do you Brandon's daughter take ....SteVe....SteVe...SteVe... to be your....." Brandon strongly objects.
(Just kidding around.)
It's more secondhand embarrassment than it is annoyance. Using "SteVe" just seems like a very "enthusiast-y," desperate attempt to be clever or whatever, or as the kids say, "cringe". But I'm not losing sleep over it. Or at least I wasn't until jimmyburke had to plant that nightmare scenario in my head. Thanks a lot, jerk. ;-)

Millie, Maggie, Draggy, SteVe, Wicky Twicky (😡), Maxi, etc…all of them can go away. And it’s definitely an enthusiast-y (or should I say “thoosie”) thing to do for sure which makes it even more cringe.
I typically hate the shortened names too but use SteVe because Steel Vengeance is such a stupid name that I’d rather call it SteVe.
