Wilderness Run is typically on the Coastermania itinerary, as Coastermania is the only time when you can get the Wilderness Run credit without a child riding with you.
Wilderness Run? Good grief.
I can't imagine it being very popular and it's definitely not a ride that accommodates oversized riders.
Uncle Steve, prepare to be amazed.
Even I once wasted most of a CoasterMania ERT waiting for my ride on (at the time) Jr. Gemini...and I had actually ridden it back in 1979, right after my first ride on Gemini!

Dave,
Wow. I've never been to Coastermania so I guess I'm missing the point.
I'll have to check it out next year.
I rode Wilderness Run, twice, 3 seasons ago, and found it most uncomfortable.
I'm kinda big but not huge, 6'0" 220lbs wear 34" jeans.
I got that credit with my actual child years ago, and also as an actual child. WTF would you waste your time on that?

I'm sure I am not alone among folks here that can say Jr. Gemini was their first roller coaster. Great childhood memories, and even greater memories of riding this with my girls too.
During Coastermania do they stop you before the second lap to "re-check" the restraints? Ha. :)
For an Intamin, it's pretty reliable.
Promoter of fog.
I'll be there for the morning ERTs', do the lunch then leave, too much time to wait for evening ERTs'.
I did not go to CP in 2020, so wanting to see all the new/newer stuff.

They were great! The fastest ops I’d ever seen on Steel Vengeance. They were dispatching trains before the preceding train even hit the MCBR. TTD did go down for “lighting” (radar and skies were clear, plus no other rides shut down) around 10pm, and to my knowledge, never reopened.
EDIT: I dont know if this was intentional or not, but the lights in Maverick’s tunnel were off. Launching at 70mph in pitch black darkness is incredible!
Evening ERT was great. Got laps on Magnum and Gemini, then queued up for Steel Vengence. Got in two (very aggressive) rides in less than 30 minutes, then went to a walk-on Maverick. Actually left a little early since we had done everything we wanted to.
And, while on the Gemini lift hill, was shocked to see the actual number of people waiting to ride Woodstock Express.
I was at TTD for evening ERT. The first hour was great. My brother and I even got a front-seat ride in the dark. With absolutely no waiting. Eventually we just entered the line and walked right on. TTD actually went down for wind. Winds seemed calm at ground level, but I know sometimes that can be deceptive. Apparently winds exceeded the maximum speed allowed at the top. It never reopened. We waited until they told us it was over for the night. Disappointing, but it could have been worse. Imagine if Coastermania had been the previous Friday. You know, the day they closed the park at 2:00 p.m. Or even on Wednesday. I heard it rained all day. I know the drive to Sandusky for my brother and me from Indiana was a wet one Wednesday afternoon. We got lucky.
Dragster was down for wind. The wind speeds were about 40 mph at the top of the tower that day, from the south East, so a headwind. Not good for a ride known to roll back.
CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium
I’m surprised no one else has mentioned this. On the CM survey, one of the questions was “Would you like Coastermania to be a 2 day event?”
Personally, I’d love that. What do you guys think about it?
Two full days? Pass. Concession to age. As always, YMMV.
Now, if they did an evening ERT on Thursday, say 8-10 PM, with the full CoasterMania on Friday, I could go for that.

I never got that e-mail yet. When did they send it?

I have all my coastermania stuff saved all the way back to 1996, published flyers and neck tags.
