Coastermania 2021

Got my 2021 Great Ohio Coaster Club card a few weeks back, bought a Platinum pass (I had to buy a new one since I didn't renew my 2019 in 2020) this morning and purchased the Coastermania ticket at 12:01pm today. So I think I'm set.

Got my ticket as well. I'm excited to get back to Coastermania!

Did anyone have to put in their club affiliation? The website did not ask for mine. I seem to remember that in 2019 (why does that seem so long ago?) that we also did not enter our club affiliation.

Nope. I don't know if we ever had to, to be honest. The only requirement is that you have your card or proof of membership on the day of the event, so it shouldn't be required when tickets go on sale.

Looking at my Coastermania flyers (received with ACE publications), 1996 thru 2001 you could buy Coastermania tickets for up to 3 friends/family that weren't coaster club members just by showing your club card at ticket booth. 2002 thru 2011 became plus only 1 extra. 2012 seems to be the transition year for coaster club members only.

I seem to recall one year they did ask what club we belonged to, and I believe the park stated it was to verify your membership before CM.

2016 they asked what club when you bought tickets but I think I heard they weren’t able to verify membership at all ahead of time.

At the gate, buy a CP admission ticket and show your membership card and get in to Coastermania, have a CP pass and show your membership card and get into Coastermania, and lately show your membership card before you get to the ticket/pass entrance. Tony has been one the membership card checkers, I think he was looking to make sure you had a valid current (for the year) card.

Just a reminder, if you want to use CoasterBuzz Club as your membership, please don't wait to signup. My trust for the USPS getting you your membership card quickly is not high.

From the CP coastermania event site,

'Check-in at the CoasterMania! tent, located at the Main Entrance, is required. You'll receive your credential and other items there. The tent will be available ONLY from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Guests arriving after 1:00 p.m. will not be permitted to attend event activities.'

Something new ? In the past, weren't you allowed to enter after 4pm with your coastermania ticket and participate in the evening ERTs' ?

Just so everyone knows, I was able to get a ticket too! You'll most likely see me running back and fourth to Rougarou during the day.

Anyone know when the itinerary will be posted? We're coming up on two weeks until the event. I'm curious if they were waiting to see how the first weekend(s) went before making a decision on what makes sense in terms of ERT. With the shortened normal operation hours, I'm curious how late the night time ERT will go.

I sent an email last night asking that very question, and am waiting on a response. With the event being 2 weeks away, the details are very scarse. My biggest question is what time does it end?

With an 8:00 park close they have the potential to either have a solid four hours of ERT and festivities, or everyone will be in line for cones at Dairy Queen by 10:30.

ERT starts at 7:00 in the morning, and goes until 11:00 at night! Also, SV is night time ERT. Love to see it.

It'll be interesting to see if they enforce the early line closures during ERT. If there's a 30 minute line, is SV going to close at 10:30?

I'm surprised Wilderness run is on the Itinerary and not Rougarou
