DId anyone ever find out what the Mean Streak contest entailed?

I didn't partake in it but from what I heard, you were randomly placed in seats. Those seats had cup holders to which a cup of water was placed in. The person with the most water in their cup upon return moved to the next round until there were 10 winners.

I heard a guy, leaving the picnic, say he wished the T-shirt was dri-fit and not cotton, and that he wouldn't wear it. Just... wow! Another guy was complaining that there were no individual sized Toft's ice creams being given out this year. Sheesh. One smart thing the park did was hand-stamp you when you picked up your survival kit. Last year I saw quite a few people going back up to get multiple GK jackets.

CP hit this one out of the park, no pun intended. Every year, the CM giveaways and overall experience have improved upon the previous year. I can't imagine them topping that next year. The cruise was just awesome. It was a little rough getting my kids out of bed early enough to get over to registration by 6:20 or so, after being in the park the night before, but it was worth it. Some friends of ours registered around 6:45 and the cruise tickets were already gone. Fortunately, someone gave them theirs later in the day as they weren't going to use them.

Thank you Tony, CP, and all who were involved in the planning for Coastermania. It was truly a memorable event!

I do know because a few people did stop to complain thinking she was complaining about the park, it lasted about 10 min till we could settle her down once we finally got ahold of her daughter and rampaged..

Sorry to be a bit defensive but when a friend gets called out for no reason, its an easy quick action.

And yes Jeff, I have alot of nuts..and I am a dick, you kind of have to be in my line of work ;)

My first coastermania ever and it will DEFINITELY not be my last....Cedar Point hit a home run....check that...Grand Slam...

Wow is all I can say....the food was amazing...the give away's were incredible and the ERT's just off the chart...

The Coastermania Cruise was unbelievable! I took about 110 pictures on the cruise and none of them were bad photos. It's pretty hard to get a bad photo of the Cedar Point Skyline. The entire event was very well done. Great job, and thanks Cedar Point! It was also very nice to see everyone!

That's nothing.. I got 543 shots, only a few were actually in the park. :)

I admit I made a mistake to assume it was something park/coaster related. I wasn't one of the ones who stopped to complain to her. I just kept on walking. I hope whatever issue she had with her daughter was resolved in private and not in front of other park guests. Sorry for the misunderstanding. It's really none of my business what she was complaining about. Just couldn't help but notice because she was being rather loud and repetitive about it.

Took a long time getting trains out cause they had to refill each cup, assign seats, give instructions, send train out, have train come in, check each cup, then let people off the train.

Took forever, but once you got on the ride and saw each cup lose its water was worth it. Most fun I had on Mean Streak.

Also it does make me push more for those cup holders on the next coaster...

This was my and my neighbor's first coastermania, and it was fantastic! By 9am, I had already ridden a bunch of times and had to stop for breakfast. I did not expect the box of goodies that we each received at lunch. The brat and ribs I had were fabulous though, and I had 2 cookies to make up for the other stuff being gone. Early lunch shift peeps, save some for us next time :)

CP killed it with this coastermania. It was awesome!

If I had a complaint, it would be that they do run out of the smaller sizes of the giveaways. Last year, I ended up with a medium or large when small is usually a bit big on me. I'd say they tend to err on the larger side of things since it's more likely to work for more guests. For people like me, though.. :) They only way I see that working though would be if they were to do pre-registration.

Beside that, though, it was an incredible event.

Mean Streak contest sounded pretty fun actually! I love Mean Streak and would have been awesome at that :) Too bad I couldn't attend this year. Sounds like a fun time all day.

Sounds like a lot of fun. So if I understand correctly, the event is totally free (free food, gifts and ERTs) for platinum/season passholders who belong to a participating coaster club?

Admission to the park is on you, so if you have a season pass, then yes you get in the park on that. If not, they typically have discounted admission tickets at registration only for recognized coaster club members.

To get into CoasterMania and participate in ERT, food, and giveaways, you do have to be a member of a recognized club. They do check your club ID and state ID on-site to verify. Note: each member can bring *one* non-member guest. Again, admission is on you.

Thank you. I may have to look into going to next year's event. The WNY Coaster Club household membership is only $35 (covers everyone in the household).

I think you had to try to hold a cup of water without spilling it through the whole ride.

No, they had you sit in randomly assigned seats (which is terrible if you get an axle seat), and they had cups in holders. The seats with the least water gone advanced to win.

Who won and what did they get?

About a dozen people won 2015 platinum passes.
