Coastermaniacs,
WOW, what a difference a year makes. Last year at Coastermania they gave us sweatshirts and the day reached 94 degrees. This year they gave us t-shirts and Saturday morning was a very chilly 52 degrees. I noticed many folk wearing the sweatshirts from last year both on Friday evening and Saturday morning - I was one of them. Wow, it was cold this year.
But that did not deter me from having a blast at Coastermania. Not even the Muffleheads (those pesky bugs) could ruin the fun. Indeed, they made quite an "impression" on my face. I wasn't as brave as two young men who went shirtless on the front seet of MF Friday evening. They came back to the station covered in bugs, but seemed to consider it just part of the fun. I asked the question what kind of wine goes with these kind of bugs? Most seemed to say Pinot Noir? What do you think?
Got 17 rides on TTD Saturday. I thought the line for TTD would be extreemly long since the weather was beautiful. The longest wait I had was a half hour; most were only around 5-10 minute wait. What a ride!!!
Friday evening's ERT on Maverick and Magnum was long and SLOW. Only got one ride in on each.
Saturday morning's ERT was better. MF was fantastic at sunrise. She was fast and peppy, with no bugs. Thanks to CP for providing coffee while waiting in line. It help to warm me up.
ERT on TTD was great! Hardly any lines and the ride operators had kept everyone moving and laughing.
Lunch was better than last year. Healthier fare I noticed.
Saturday evening ERT was great on Raptor. After 12 rides in one hour I was ready for bed at 1:30 am.
I'll be back next year but please let me know what wine I should bring for eating Muffleheads
