Coastermania 2001 - I met magnumdan
Wow, again many more memories made after this CP trip. I arrive at 6pm meet Anne and Jo, and we are off. We go to TGI friday's for a bite to eat. Meet JS, and brian haverlock. See bryan edwards and even a check in by the CEO himself Richard Kinzel, a huge round of applause goes up. Free appetizers on the house can't beat that. Anne gets trashed and brian is hitting on Miranda our waitress and Ms. Lampshade another waitress wearing a lampshade hat. Drop dead funny in there. Also we are treated to free desert on the big man himself. A great start.
Next we hit MF for 1 ride before ERT. Seeing all the kids in the line with no coastermania button I think we pretty much tormented them to death. In the voice of the twix commercial (two for me...none for you) comments were made such as: ERT for me, None for you bye bye. We did that the entire night, beating it into the ground. Ah speaking of ERT Anne had alot of EPT (Exclusive potty time) after those large alcoholic beverages. Weird things we heard were these blood curtling screams from people and these extremley loud burps....Whoops that was us.
ERT started on magnum, and after watching dan on the discovery channel I sure wanted to meet him. Wow what a guy. He know that ride like the back of his hand. I was not lucky enough to ride with him but he did slap my hand in the pretzel loop. That just rocked. I was so stoked!!! I saw JS, and brain, and jerry and rideman and ST.
The highlight was riding with Robin Innes, if you need proof just click my info, as I just entered it about 20 minutes ago. Riding 5 times my job was to save him a seat and he would come over and sit down and off we went. Lets see riding with Robin Innes, magnumdan, no trim brakes, coastermania....those were the best rides on magnum ever in my life. Robin also rode with Jo and choked her for the photo.
Finally moving over too MF waiting for last ride of the night. Again riding with Robin, something you just don't get a chance of doing too often.
Just a super night well done by CP, light crowds no line for magnum and about 10 minutes for MF when we got there. Kudos to CP.

Hooper--I think you yelled something at our MF train as it came into the station about us not getting to ride again. Were you guys one of the last in line? I thought I recognized our celeb Jo from the pic from the paper :) I also saw her truck too :) I wish I would have heard Hooper yell stuff at the damn annoying non-coastermania kids that were at the park!
Catherine-SO sorry we didnt get a chance to meet you!! There's no doubt that was us! :)

Kay,, call me stupid, (you won't be the first) but I am wondering just who is Robin Innes? Does this person exceed the fame of other gttp'ers like Raptor JO and OF course Magnum Dan? I have been pondering this all day,,,basically because I had nothing better to think about saddly.
I would also like to state that I am in a state of envy that you all had such fun while I was at work!

And...he choked me! And..asked Hooper if I was crazy!! Yea he's the director of PR but not my favorite. My fav took on the challenge of eating those free Sunday pancakes in the employee cafe with me last season. Of course I still couldnt get him to ride Maggie with me.....you'd think if he was brave enough for the pancakes....hmmmm....
