All I can say is wow!(and a bit more) Yesterday (and this morning) was the best trip to CP I have ever had.
It kind of started 2 months ago. I had contacted a coaster club (which will remain nameless) about membership so that I could attend CoasterMania. I started worrying a couple of weeks ago because I hadn't received anything in the mail. After several e-mails and a couple phone calls, I gave up. I wasn't too sure what to do because I wanted to go so bad.
So my friend and I decided to go anyway, and hoped that we could find someone to buy us tickets. We arrived at the Budget inn and for the night it cost us $44 including tax, I thought it was pretty reasonable. (You must be 21 at this hotel) I don't understand the 20 questions I was asked, but up here in Canada, you can be 18 and get a room as long as you have a credit card and you don't need any other ID.
Got a wake up call at 5:20 and we each had a quick shower and were on our way. We got to the park around 6:15 after a quick breakfast at McDo's (SO SLOW). We quickly got into the Group Sales line and approached a man beside us. He wasn't too sure if he could buy us tickets but said he would ask. It turned out that this man had a seasons pass and didn't need to wait in the lineup, so he left.
We approached a family in front of us and they were more than happy to buy us two tickets. We each paid $30 so the man made a quick $16 for his trouble. (It turned out that his everyone in his family had a seasons pass and so he took 15 minutes of his time to help us out) Thank you Bruce!
We got in the park at about 7:00 and decided to hit Raptor as EVERYONE was heading to MF and thousands of other people were already in the park. Probably one of the best decisions ever as we got one flight in the front and one in the back in 10 minutes. Incredible!
Then we took off for MF. The wait was about 50 minutes so we were quite happy. Got a ride in the very back of the train. Mind-boggling visuals, speed, and height and an overall amazing ride. The smile from the ride remained plastered on my face the rest of the day. After stumbling down the exit stairs, we decided to check out the "donuts and juice" to our left. From the sounds of it I thought they were free, but after getting in line I realized that each donut was $1.25. I decided to buy a cookie for $0.99 and it was pretty good (I couldn't justify spending nearly $2 Canadian on a donut).
Got back in the MF line again around 8:45 and rode in the front of the 3rd car. I didn't think it could beat the previous ride, but this time I loved it even better.

We rode MF at night and I am still smiling this afternoon. We got in line around 9:50 and were on about the 5th last train. I wish I knew what was going on because there were many delays. We got to ride 2nd tier in the first car and the ride was outstanding. My eyelids were being pushed into my eyes the entire ride. It was definitely worth the wait.
So we left the park a bit after midnight, and after a 30 minute delay at the Ambassador bridge, and dropping my friend off near London, I got home at 7:30. Yes, that is 26 hours after I got up on Friday. Needless to say I am a little tired today. I am so happy the last ride of the night was on MF so I had a lasting impression to help me stay awake.
Very glad to see you got in for Coaster Mania!
You guys were in line in front of my group, and I felt the first guy you approched did not want to help you out at all.
I wish I could have helped. I had three guests with me as well. MF is probably the best coaster I have ever ridden.
Well I just wanted to let you know that I was happy you made the trip and you got in for Coaster Mania 2000
