I was just wondering what CoasterMania was like. This year is going to be my first year going, and I'm really excited. Is the event usually really crowded? What is the best part about it? If you can, any advice you can give will help me greatly. Thanks in advance!
Coastermania tends to draw a lot of enthusiasts. But the ERT lines are still shorter than any lines you will be standing in during regular operating hours. I'd recommend doing all the ERTs and during regular hours, do something you always wanted to do at CP, but never had the time for such as a show or a nap in the car.
I like the Q&A part of Coastermania. Nobody holds back on questions. Also, Dragster at night when the majority of the park is gone is the best!

CoasterStreak, Just like CoastMani said, the ERT's are great, and the night time ERT on Magnum "ROCKS". Sixteen hours of riding coasters makes for a long day. I would recommend going to Soak City after lunch or your hotel and hang out at the pool to relax. Head back to the park around 6:30-7:00pm when most of the school buses have left and the lines are short for most of the coasters.
Oh contrare Mama Berardi's. The buses leave around 8ish, so I suggest going to the Hotel for a swim aound 5 to about half past 6. Then venture to have something to eat around then as well. If you plan on going to Soak City, make sure you want to check the weather and also check with front desk to see if the waterpark is open. ERT is the best time to ride roller coasters. I went a few days ago and rode millie about 6 times in the front area until 10 am. I do suggest going to Maverick first if you are planning on staying at Breakers or Sandcastle. They also have shuttles to a few destinations around the park if you don't want to ride mavie first thing in the morning. Like I was saying, Maverick is the best to ride in the morning because it will be the longest line throughout the whole day, depending on what day you go.
