Woke up at 5, got into gear, and made it to the park by about 5:40. I was actually ready before the girlfriend was, so I had some sitting around.
We got to the park, got checked in, saw Tony and Betsy and everyone else. Headed into ERT at Millennium Force, and managed 6 rides before heading over to Dragster for a ride. Like the night before, there was a random rollback which made our wait a little longer than it should have been(Lucky people).
After ERT, we headed back to the campground. Got some McD's(read: Dog Food) and took a nap. Woke up at 12:30, showered, and went back to the park for the luncheon. We rode a lot of random rides throughout the day, and went on over to TGI Friday's at 6 pm for the GOCC dinner. That was an absolute blast, and the food was really good.... But $2.45 for a soft drink? yeeeccchhhh... 2 appetizers, a soft drink, and a long island iced tea ($9.25! glad my friend Brian bought and drank it and not me) came to almost $34! Guess that's just a reminder of where you are.
Anyway, after TGI's, we hit up Magnum, and then Sky Ride, and went back to the campground to change. Caught a ride on Raptor, then last ride of the night on Millennium Force with Tony, Brandon, Tami, John, Betsy, Brian, Clarissa and everyone else I forgot. Boo for yellow train.
ERT time, and I hit up 3 or 4 rides on Raptor, including one with GOCC president Michael before heading on over to Disaster with the lights on. A lot different than I had expected, thats for sure. It was still dark in the tunnels, for anyone who didn't make it. The lift was still semi-dark as well. The track looks weird in the block brake sections.. a lot different than I had expected thats for sure.
After DT, me and Brian booked back to Magnum for 4 wonderful rides of ERT. That thing just FLIES at night, and the trims were off. That ride is still awesome, and it proved itself why.
For anyone else who noticed, the blue train on Magnum is having troubles yet again this year it seems. I had a really painful 1-3 ride on Thursday evening. I don't know what the problem is, but I'm trying to avoid Blue Train at all costs. I opted to take 2nd to last train of the night on Black instead of last on Blue. Eck.
Saturday was pretty uneventful. By the time we woke up and got motivated, it was about 1. We went to Soak City, and I went around a few time in the raging river or whatever it is, then cleaned up, went into the park to take Maggie for a spin, then headed out as I had a concert to go to in Clarkston, MI.
It was really great to see all the people I have made friends with lately, and it was an awesome trip. Nice to have a few days off right after the week I had off for California. Can't wait for next year's CM!
Actually, I think the blue train is better this year. It's no where near as bad as last season. At this time, I believe the black train is the worse. Trust me, I ride ejector as much as possible! That is my seat! I've got close to 200 rides on Maggie so far this season. Most in 1-3.
