I was so looking forward to my 6th CoasterMania, and it was as wonderful, fun and memorable for my husband and I as I could ever imagine!! I believe it could have been one my favorite ones yet!! :)
The weather was just perfect. Morning was a tad cool, but stayed perfect all day and the evening was even warmer than anyone had imagined it would be.
I had been very apprehensive about CM on a Saturday but was pleasantly surprised. The park never really got unbearably crowded, and none of the lines ever got real long.
High Po!nts: Thanks to 20 AM ERT Raptor rides, I have finally achieved my 1000 Raptor flights!! It was awesome, especially when one of my favorite CP people accepted my invitation to join my hubby and I for my 1k flight. Yes, I bought that picture!! :)
Hanging out in the PR office was great! Sandy-watch my desk!! ;)
Hubby got his 1st MF front seat ride and really liked it alot. All the people in the front line were placing bets on who was going to beable to ride (fit) and who wouldn’t.
The lunch was pretty good (potato salad tastes MUCH better without the mufflehead seasoning! ;)) and they had sausages instead of hot dogs. After lunch we rode Gemini, Maggie, MS, and went shopping where I bought my 4th carousel horse. The GOCC meeting at TGIF was fun. The morning and afternoon CoasterMania had been wonderful.
PM ERT:
Now the gang was together which consisted of Matt, (Skykicker) Dave (Dodge em Dave), Greg, my hubby, and Matt (Hooper) aka my PIC and an absolute RIOT!! :)
Maggie it would be and I was laughing so hard during some of those rides I was actually crying! Trying to translate some of those rides would not do them justice here.We rode Maggie we guessed 18 times before we decided to head to MF for the last train of CoasterMania. I again was honored to have someone join me for that MF ride, who commented "what is wrong with you??" after the ride....I will assume he wasn’t happy that I kept my hands up the whole ride?? What do you think Hooper??? ;)
Departing CP and saying goodbye to yet another CoasterMania was bitter sweet.
We met Dave and Matt at Steak and Shake for a late snack and let's just say that "tweezers, hedge clippers and weed wackers" were part of the conversation!! Don't ask!
My husband and I had SUCH a great time, all day today he and I would randomly laugh for no reason, both of us knowing we had to be thinking about something that was said and/or done at CM :)
Low Po!nts: AM ERT on TTD stood for "Eventual Ride Time" Thanks to break downs and a roll back we waited an hour for 1 TTD ride. I even wished we were on Banshee instead of standing there. We only rode it 1x and then headed to my favorite bird of prey for the rest of AM ERT.
I attempted to invite Mr Skyward to join us for the PM festivities and he refused. He said he had plans and could not attend. I was rather disappointed for I believe there would have been many people who would have been thrilled to see Mr Skyward joining us! :)
As in CMs past, hearing some people complaining on lines, or directly to the silver tags. Why do some people think a park OWES them something because they are a member of a coaster enthusiast club? I would LOVE just one CM without hearing or seeing this. Hasn’t happened in my 6 years yet!! :(
All in all CoasterMania ‘04 was absolutely awesome! Thank you to Bryan, Robin, Sandy, Matt, Matt, Greg, Dave and my wonderful husband for helping it be such a great day!!
A special thanks to the Raptor crew for kicking such serious butt on moving people so I could get my 1k flights! (and 6 more too!) the Magnum crew for that awesome PM ERT, and to CP for again showing why they are the greatest amusement park on earth!! :)
Today I have no/little voice, my entire body aches and I have again the Maggie lap bar bruises on my thighs!! Now THAT'S some serious airtime!! :)
We are already looking forward to CoasterMania ‘05!! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
What were those magnum chants again? Ron Toomer, Magnum 89, magnum airtime, WT is down, Magnum is arrow...etc....oh magnum's sinking.
"This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!"

But, that morning test ride in the pitch black darkness with the tower lights off made it worth it. Was the first time Dragster excited me since I started working over there.
Good to hear your day got better after a morning spent on our platform. :)

The whole TTD ordeal in the morning, and NO WT explains our "No more Intamin, we want B&M!" chants during our PM Maggie rides!! :)
Wait aside, the ride was better than any cup o'coffee I had to wake me up!!
Oh, and btw....we rode Gemini to find out your roommate is now Mr "Mature" Don? (fka DJ) We about fell over when we saw his name tag!!! ;)
