coaster for 2003

I herd that the coaster for 2003 will be a bigger version of the Knott's berry Farm's Xcelerator . It will break some records I hear.

Something to do with a cowboy movie...

Let your mind go...and your body will follow...

I "herd" they's puttin' in an interactive cattle coaster where ya try to rope the lil' doggies as yas flyin' by at 85 miles per hour on the first-of-its-kind "LIM-powered horse". I hears it's powered by that electric stuff. Yee-haw!!!

At the end of that there ride, the Duke shows up on one of those new-fangled video screens and tells yas how ya did.

- Jim, who hopes someone else got the joke too, seeing as how it's staring everyone in the face. :)

Dang, If it was'nt for the footers, I would have figured Jeff was hinting a Huss Rodeo.
Here's some more ideas that could support an Intamin Rocket Coaster. I found the picture of the former Dodgem site with the footers. Notice the square shape and the 10 or so bolts sticking up in a circular pattern on the footer. Here's the site...

Now look at the Xcelerator construction found at Westcoaster.net. The "Top Hat" appeared to be a much larger cement slab or footer with multiple supports on it... however, the footers for most of the rest of the track columns are similar to the picture above of Area 51. Some are round, some are square. Here is a link to a picture of one of the supports on the top hat with the bolts through the track columns.

Not necessarily a rocket coaster, but it appears to be some sort of track support for a tall column support, rather than a foundation or footer you might see for a flat ride or building.

Whatever it may be, I plan on being excited to hear the news first from Cedar Point. All the speculation and ideas are just fun to keep us all busy while we wait for the final word from Cedar Point!

Yeah, but those footers appear to be what would support the track coming out of a station, not a tower. Most tower footers are very large even above ground as seen in the link you provide. However look at the support needed for just the first part of track coming out of a station.
DUDE how long did it take you to make a prediction on?

I heard that cedar point built some footers on some empty space so that they could have the most footers in 1 park. It is a new record the are trying to break, they are ahead of Six flags magic mountain by 2. SFMM could pull ahead, this is gonna be a close race.
