coaster count

that is not the thread. the one that was taken down was entitled "possible second coaster" and discussed that if cedar point is building so soon, maybe they are building a second coaster to regain the record. everyone wants to pretend they know everything. at least it gives you something to do.
Well, that really should have been nuked...that's just plain silly. If a monster 400+ footer won't get you in the park, nothing will.

Here are the coasters at SFMM: Revolution, Flashback, Viper, X, Deja Vu, Psyclone, Ninja, Superman, Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Colossus, Goliath, Goliath Jr, Canyon Blaster, Flashback. That's 15. However, Colossus is a twin-tracked racer, so SFMM counts that as two. Now they're adding the flyer, so they'll have 17. SFMM does not count they're Intamin 1st gen freefall.

First off Scott, you've got Flashback in there twice, but missed Goldrusher. In any case, there are 15 rollercoasters there. I've not heard that SFMM counts Colosuss twice "officially" to get up to 17. "IF" that were true, then why would they not count S:TE twice (it too is dual tracked) to get up to 18 and put it out of reach? Fact is, they only claim 15 now and the new B&M makes 16; just like CPs new Intamin makes 16.

Clear as mud? GOOD!

You are correct. This is what happens when I try to think too early in the day :) I completely agree about S:TE. Since they don't count that as two, they probably don't count Colossus at two. My bad. However, I wouldn't put it past Six Flags to pull such a stunt.

What's really sad is that no one caught that the whole day. :)

"they discuss about cedar point trying to regain control of the most coasters in any park"

Heh, these are businesses for entertainment this isnt a war. Like Jeff always says, the parks are on opposite ends of the country, they dont plan their park out by what the other does, and most of the public have no idea what the other park is.
