Coaster Con 2004

I'll be at Cedar Point during Coaster Con next week. Anyone who has gone to Coaster Con before, what is your guesstimate of the number of A.C.E. members in attendance?
What difference does it make? I'm sure there will be some, but not enough to affect how busy the park is. Have a good time! *** Edited 6/14/2004 7:50:04 PM UTC by MrScott***

Haha..................... Guesstimate.
Are you an ACE member? If so, you could try contacting your regional ACE rep. They may be able to give you an idea.

One thing's for sure, it can't be as bad as Coastermania (most recent years). E.R.T. just isn't the same when 2000 people show up.
A rough number I saw put it in line at about 700-800. I don't have rough numbers but I think the most attended CON was at Kennywood a few years back and that might have barely broke 1000 people.

It's looking to be under 1,00 from what I hear. I will be there. Can't wait for the Disaster Transport ERT after the cash bar!
Talk about "losing control" Steve. As long as they have Whisky there I will be happy :)

Dan

As of the deadline for early registration back at the end of May, the attendance was only about 400 according to the ACE registration director. He said no more than 50 people pay the late registration fee most years....that means 450 at the most. NICE!

SHOULD BE SOME KICK-A*S ERT!!! : )

I can't wait till Sunday!!!!

Jason

I can guarantee you its definately over 800.
Any week in at Cedar Point will be better than a week at work outside Philadelphia.
What are the exact days for Coaster Con?
I hope that there aren't any of you coaster con people over 200 lbs, because you won't be doing any ert.
Coaster Con at Cedar Point is from Sunday June 20 to Wednesday June 23rd...it's at Geauga Lake from the 24th to the 26th.

I am a "coaster con person" and I weigh 275 lbs...I am also 6'2" and of "Muscular" build. My waist and legs are small, so I should have no problem fitting on Millenium Force...I've lost 20 lbs in the last month just to make sure! : )

There will DEFINATELY not be 800 people there as Dave Bird (ACE registration director) told me the "about 400" figure 2 DAYS before the deadline for early registration. Late registration (at the event) is $60 more, so I doubt many more will show up at the event.

Just 4 days to go!

Jason : )

Everything that I am hearing is that there are about 800 people registered for Con.

Who's joining Coastermania in September this year?

The Amazement Park

I was in the park today with someone partly in charge of the con and the planning of it. 800 were DEFINATELY registered, they are expecting at most 50 late registrations. Under 900 people, I will be happy.
I am going to Coaster Con and I have already excepted the fact that I might not be able to ride Millennium Force, but I can ride everything else even though I am over a size 18. But I will be able to ride Millennium by time Coastermaina comes. I will just have to remember my rides on Millennium from last year :(
Is Coastermania an ACE event to. I was going to go last year but didn't know anything about it. What is it?
