I would put in a CCI or GCI woodie and a B&M sit down looper(Kumba clone)!

A one time deal only.
Have CCI and GCI combine forces, to give us a once in a lifetime wooden creation, that would take us into an all new breed of coaster that no one could have ever imagined.

I could've swore that Intamin built Volcano, they did, didn't they?

I like superstew's idea. Have CCI and GCI come up with a design together for something completly new.

Monster Ride Host for 2 Years
3 Years Total @ CP
What rumor? filler rides peoples, is MF not enough? why the concern for 2003, notice the 3.
We know filler rides, check out my topic here.
1) A full circuit launched coaster (similar to Disney's Rock'n'Roller Coaster) - not floorless
2) A Wooden Coaster...along the beachfront, and painted white with red trim. Name it the Cedar Point Cyclone.

Well, I'm not sure what I would actually "wish" for, but we do know two things about CP's management.
1. They visited Disney World and loved Rock N' Roller coaster. This launched ride seems to have a very good capacity, and Cedar Point says that they would like to have a similar ride. I can see CP adding a larger version of this coaster.
2. We know that CP is impressed with Ghostrider. I can see them adding a CCI to the rumored boardwalk area.
They could add both of these coasters in one year, and I would have to guess that both together would cost less than some of Cedar Point's other single coasters.
Just a thought, but I think that it makes sense.

I think it's time to drop the "isn't MF enough attitude?". Was Goliath enough for SFMM? I know come October, we are all going to be screamin' for a new coaster, or two in 2002.
I agree, net. Most of us have already been screaming for another coaster, and I think it would be impractical to just "let MF sit in". I mean, what did they do after Raptor? Two years later, they filled a gap with a great stand up in Mantis. And two years after that? Power Tower. I hope the trend continues, with either a CCI woodie or a launched coaster.
And Cornbread, yes, Volcano is built by Intamin.

You got it brothers! Keep em coming
Cornbread, yes Intamin built it. However, from what I've heard, it rolls back often.
Yes it does.. They've had alot of rollback problems with Volcano.. Only other coaster that had more problems last season was SOB.

MF 2000 - 269 laps
I should've known not to trust a newbie :) Just kidding GHS. I was like 99% sure Intamin built it. I never knew Volcano rolled back so often, it seems like a coaster like that wouldn't but then again why it may occur makes sense. Anyway, to try to get back on topic...
I think a CCI Ghostrider type woodie would be a good choice. I don't really think Cedar Point would add 2 coasters in one year, that would seem too Six Flagish. If they were to get 2 though, I would say get a launched floorless also. Cedar Point needs a launched coaster and why not kill 2 birds with one stone by getting the tallest & fastest floorless with the most number of inversions and make it launched. This way they would also have a good sit down looper. I would rather have a floorless then just a sit down looper anyway even if it isn't much different from a sit down. This way you can get a different aspect that something like corkscrew (a sit down looper, granted not very thilling anymore) doesn't have. That would show Six Flags Worlds of Adventure who they're messing with (well actually it would be Premier Parks in General) :)

What I want to know is what the advantages and disadvantages of having a launched floorless or a launched sit-down are. I mean, from the surface, floorless looks much better, because while it may not be a HIT, it definitely adds an interesting aspect to a sit down looper. So what would be the reasons why a sit-down launched would be better than a floorless launched?

Arrow Pipeline & B&M Vertical Drop Coaster
Just seeing the pic of pipeline in my coaster book got me excited...it would be one of a kind for the point and only the 3rd Vert coaster..1st in America.
I would like to see a good old sit-down looper from arrow, along the lines of Vortex @ PKI, but with modified trains that r larger in sitting, or a Timberwolf like woodie.
What ever the coaster will be, do you think CP will take the time and make them record breakers again? or will they hurry and put them in just to keep the most coasters record?
From what Cedar Point has done in the past, I am guessing that what ever is added next will be a new type of ride, record breaker, or something to make it stand out.
Cedar Point NEVER rushes to put in rides. Whatever they put in, is planned at least 2 years in advance.
Yeah, really, CP_bound. I mean I am sure they already have EVERYTHING planned out for the next few years. So for everyone hoping that CP is reading this thread to get ideas, well, you will be disappointed.
