Clueless employees at CP...

Actually, if you're going to make a sweeping generalization, getting a large sample size is a waste of time.

So basing it off a sample group of one really is the best way to make a sweeping generalization.

It's just not good to make sweeping generalizations in the first place.

You get what you pay for ... which would be marginally more than minimum wage!

I couldn't agree less.

Nobody forced them to take these jobs. Low pay is no excuse not to perform your job to the best of your abilities... not simply to make the amount of effort you deem "appropriate" based on how much/little you are paid.

This kind of thinking is one of the growing problems in this country.

I get what you're saying, I really do, because I had the same attitude when I worked there. I worked my butt off day in and day out. To be honest pretty much everyone who signs on to work at Cedar Point understand it's going to be a lot of hours of hard work. For the majority of the employees that I worked with, it wasn't a work ethic problem.

I find it interesting that this thread has evolved into a thread about politics. Based on some of the responses here, I can probably guess who is voting for Romney and who is voting for Obama.

I generally don't expect red and green tag employees to know much outside of their particular area of work. If I have a question about foods, I'll ask Guest Services or Park Operations, who can call and get me an answer, or I will ask a blue tag in foods.

If I want to know about rides, I won't be asking someone in foods.

I work in customer service myself (and currently am underemployed, mostly by choice, but work my tail off to move up in my company to a position I am better qualified for), and I get questions all the time that I may not be able to answer without help. What I expect from someone working at Cedar Point is that if the employee doesn't know the answer, is to ask a superior or a coworker to find the answer. Generally, I haven't been let down this season.

John McCain: The Ride

Being Mavericky since 2007!

I am voting for neither. And suggest others look into doing the same and stop being played. :)

^ Couldn't agree more.

Anyway. Most Cedar Point employees are actually hard workers. I think a lot of you would be surprised...
