Closing Weekend 07!

I know Paddlewheel isn't the best idea, but we just need to come up with something.

We'll if we have a BBQ, we can all agree on something.

Well, the weather is looking less than favorable. Hopefully it will keep the crowds light. For those of you coming on Sunday, it should be drying out. But Friday and Saturday look to be rainy and cool. Friday Night especially.

Last year the crowds were light b/c of the weather so hopefully its the same this year. I'm up for meeting somewhere or the BBQ, but if it rains or is cold, wouldn't the BBQ be useless?

Saturday was still fairly busy IIRC. But, the park also had a different, more logical, rain policy last year. So I am now torn between wanting rain and not wanting rain. Sure rain keeps the crowds away, but so does shutting down rides.

Either way I'm going to be there, and if I need to play Deal or No Deal to kill some time, then I'll just have to do that. I've got 325 tickets from about 3 rounds of that game last time I was there. Hopefully this time I can triple that and walk away with a good prize.

I hear you John. I used to love going to the park on light rainy days. I knew it would keep crowds low, and I could get lots of riding in. Now, rainy days mean lots of shows and arcade time. Oh Cedar Fair... better safe than sorry I suppose.

Does anyone know if the Meijer on Milan Rd. is still selling discount tickets?

We'll be there Sunday, and getting there Saturday, and it would be nice to get tickets before the getting to the park Sunday. I didnt know if they would still sell them this late in the season.

this will be the first season since 99 that i have missed closing weekend :-( it's always so sad the last weekend...the park in one sense goes to sleep ( but not really)

i moved to Florida in January....luckily i made it up 2 weekends ago, had a great time! Maverick was awesome!

these Florida parks have nothing on CP...well maybe except for theming..but thats a whole different conversation....but @ least i have Busch Gardens just 45 min away to keep riding all winter....can't wait for my next CP trip!!!

Well, I leave in about 15 hours and there are no plans thus far. I guess the Paddlewheel Excursion plan for noonish Sunday is the most progress we've made. For those members who I met a few Sundays ago, I'd like to hang out one more time before the season ends if something goes on. I think I still have some cell phone numbers in my phone so maybe I'll drop a text at some point throughout the weekend. Also, after a few years of having my balls busted over the internet for being a Canuck, maybe I can finally meet you John (JuggaLotus). I think it would be more meaningful to hear some of your quirky jokes in person. Anyway, see you all on the midway this weekend for the last time in 07!

I am leaving in 5 hours. Sorry things didn't work out for a get-together. I have been way to busy this week to put something together, and I'm guessing others are in the same boat.

Hopefully I'll run into some of you on the midways. Tonight it will be myself and Mark (Small). Tomorrow I will be with Mark, Loopy, Rob (not on Pointbuzz), and BgRooDog, and on Sunday, all of the above plus TTD 120.

Looking forward to a great weekend! Hope for very little rain! If not for the "new" policy, this would be a perfect weekend for the park. But I'm planning on staying positive and doing all I can to enjoy the last weekend in the park.

I will be at CP on sunday for the last day. Since the packers aren't playing on sunday i can go, lol. I'm excited. but if green bay is playing i never miss that, even for CP.

I'll be there Sunday for sure. I'm looking forward to a bittersweet day. Oh well, best enjoy it before the long winter comes.

Well unfortunately my trip today was called off due to the rain. I really only wanted to go to get on MF, Maverick, and TTD, and with rain now days, that can be hard to do. Hope everyone has a great weekend who's going.
