Closing Day for Ocean Motion

I just don't think we've seen the end of Ocean Motion. I honestly feel that if it doesn't sell in the early off season, it will be taken off the market, and we'll see it relocated. Either that, or someone else will snatch it up.

I actually hope it is relocated. It is a good starter ride for the younger ones to get used to the airtime feeling. I feel like those rides are sort of a stepping stone.

Rode it at about 3 on Sunday with 5 other people.

Yeah, this seems to be a trend for CP though. Demon Drop was a nice free fall starter. Now kids just have to jump on the Power Tower, and even that involves either a shot up or a shot down.

Hopefully they don't think all they need a Sky Hawk. Ocean Motion is a nice starter.

What Cedar Fair parks don't have a swinging ship. Would CF out a ship in a park that already has a Looping Star?

STR cam has been relocated to the Windseeker site. It shows OM being dismantled. Those big trees are gone and so is the old entrance.

To day is the start of OM last day at Cp, the new Windseeker webcam shows a crane ready to bring it down.

What trees and old intrance are you talking about? If you are talking about the big pine tree, it's still there....not sure for how much longer though.

There was a row of large pine trees just inside the fence along the boardwalk that provide a screen from the lake. I was looking at them Sunday wondering if they would be removed. Wasn't there a large sycamore or 2 near the rides entrance? It looks like the canopy for the entrancei s there. Originally, I thought the ticket booth was gone but, after looking closer it looks to be there. The fence is gone in that area.

I wish they would place it above or to the the side, because the trees and the lights are in the way.

The view of Ocean Motion (admittedly where any of the action is happening at the moment) may be blocked in the current view, but Windseeker will apparently be located roughly where the gate now sits. I assume the camera's placement is anticipating where the new ride will be built.

Maybee they decided to relcoated Ocean Motion to the former Chaos location between Planet Snoopy and Kiddy Kindgom.

I wish they don't take CHAOS out of the Park. It is one of my Best Thrill Ride in the Park.

I have not seen it in print anywhere yet but I heard on TV very early this morning that things have changed and Ocean Motion is staying but will be moved to the old Demon Drop location.

Cedar Point announced it on Facebook. It's also being discussed here.
